Never in a million years i would've thought that you would react to the Beatsteaks. I saw them live like 5 or 6 times and i always had a fantastic time, they just radiat positive energy at their concerts.

Never missed a Beatsteaks concert in my country, never missed a moshpit during their concert. When "Let me in" starts, the atmosphere changes, the crowd feels less and less like a sum of people and more and more like one entity. The anticipation during "crouching part" (like 6:07) generates such intense energy - I can't describe it, but I'm sure those who experienced it, understand. And to those who never seen Beatsteaks live - it's really worth it!
Oh wow, surprising choice. The Beatsteaks are wonderful and highly energetic band.
Best thing about Beatsteaks live is the energy and how they pick up the crowd right away. I've been there in 2011 and I've been to a few other live concerts of them and they've never disappoint. A fantastic live band!
That's an unexpected choice! I saw them live a couple of times back in the day. They were a very high energy band, I think the singer focused less on his pitch and more on giving us a helluva party.

It would be cool if you could react to Henning May from AnnenMayKantereit. He is so great and I think you will love his voice. They are also very popular here in germany and got a bit of international fame in the last weeks
I had never heard of AnnenMayKantereit until I was at a German festival (Maifeld Derby) and they came on to do a surprise gig. Everyone in the crowd lost their mind, and I just thought 'eh, what's happening? who are these guys?'. I was soon swayed. They sound great! No one outside of Germany knows them though.

I've only been to Rock am Ring once, the headliner crowds are really big. Didn't like that festival ground though, standing on concrete all day is very hard on your feet

Cool choice. I really love your videos and am so surprised that you reacted to the Beatsteaks. I was there in 2011 and you are so right: pitch didn‘t matter a bit! We had such a great time at that concert especially during that song!

Rock am Ring is one of the biggest Rock/Pop festivals in germany. I've never bin there, many say its good, some say its to commercial 🤷♂️. I just want to be in a mosh pit again 🤘
I think 16 people in the crowd really needed to pee. So much so that it totally distracted from the show, and they weren't able to enjoy the concert at all. I hope they're doing well now though. Maybe they've forgotten about the full bladder and only remember the good stuff like the good vibes, the music and the hat. I hope so.

The Beatsteaks were at Rock Am Park 07. Europe knows how to put on a music festival. Some of the best concerts I ever went to were there.

At this time I think Arnim startet to take singing lessons bc he really got better and on the following album the Song were writting to fit his voice much better. I love the Beatsteaks. I was on 6 or 7 Gigs and I will go again. Dankeschön

Sam, would you please react to any of Koffee’s live performances? Maybe her tiny desk concert from a little while back? Koffee has a really gorgeously controlled low voice (really low!) and she just came out with her debut album. I think you’d really enjoy listening to her and analyzing how she’s making those sounds

Can you check out Dance Gavin Dance?? They have 2 singers, one clean and one dirty (screamer). The song "Prisoner" starts of with the clean singer hitting high notes super clean IMO. Another is their live version of "Man of the Year". Their both worth checking out.

There's a performances that I would like you to give your analysis on. Angelina Jordan (16 this January) had, at the age of 7, auditioned for the 2014 season of Norway's Got Talent. She won. Today, Angelina has performed 120 covers, and has 3 originals. The performance I would like to hear your thoughts on is her 'black and white studio performance' of "I Put a Spell on You" (Screamin' Jay Hawkins, 1956). At 9 years and 2 weeks old, Angelina had arranged the music for the band, her lyrics, and gave a performance that shouldn't be possible for a 9 year old girl. Many have said she has a very old soul when it comes to music. Here's the link:

Arnim is a good singer, but he's also known to fuck up his voice over the course of a tour. I think the slightly flat notes are probably due to that fact.
I wish you were more critical because that guy had flat notes and ducked the tough notes that clearly show problems
I said literally all of that. I said he was pitchy and people often will disguise high notes with distortion. More than that I'm not willing to speculate.
