Our Arby's is not open for indoor dining but they have gotten extremely fast at their drive in. The manager said they are doing so well with the drive thru that the owner is thinking of a drive thru only site a few towns away.
When I was living in Vegas, one of the local franchise managers focused more on the drive thru than dine in, this was back in December 2005 when we moved there. Because I already had experience in fast food, I knew how to read the leader board by the drive thru area, they were taking 4 dt orders for every one dine in/counter take out. There were four orders ahead of us so I timed it, it took ten minutes to get to the counter, and another four minutes to get our order. When I called the franchise office, I spoke directly to the owner that said they were short staffed and ordered them to focus on deive thru, so I decided to stop going to Arby's for awhile and discovered In N Out in the meantime, which became my favorite place to go.
I love Arby’s. But in Massachusetts there I think is only 2. We have 3 McDonalds in my town and we need Arby’s. (Norwood Mass) we have a great location and I know from neighbors that people want it. Why won’t they come here?
@@DeWin157 I'm not to familiar with how much of these assets can be pulled together through loans etc. But it sounds like getting a franchise is a rich mans game.
@@Ahglock Actually, it is a rich person's game, not too many middle class can afford to open most franchises. However there are some that don't require much, but those are far and few between. Entreprenuer magazine is nothing but a periodical for franchise start ups that doesn't require much, but beware, many of them are not successful as most start ups fail within the first year, so choose wisely, specially for your geographical location.
I didn't know they were an American thing. We call them a french dip, after a bit of googling its from California and apparently the name comes form the bread used which we call a french roll. The Italian beef which I think comes form Chicago is similar. While Arby's doesn't make the best version of these being fast food, dip sandwiches are amazing. It's basically a beef sandwich sometimes with Swiss cheese(Emmentaler like)on a roll sized baguette dipped in beef broth.
French Dips, with melted Swiss cheese and caramelized onions, are the best. Then when I have some au jus left, I crumble saltine crackers into it and finish it like a broth soup.
Mixed bag. I like the french dip not so much because its a great(they do a solid job for fast food) french dip but because the sandwich went out of style and is otherwise hard to find. Their turkey sandwiches are surprisingly good.
500,000bucks initial investment assets or cash was the same as LJS'S in USA.1,000,000 bucks for other lands , buildings built up investment is probably hard to get now .What will be the guarantee of return on investment as the benefit?
It depends on where the franchise is located, most fast food joints are built around shopping districts or interstate exits to ensure solid returns of investment.
Arbys is not a good deal where I live. 549 for a classic roast beef sandwich. Basically the smallest one with no cheese. Just meat and bun 549. A quarter pounder at McDonald's is a better deal.
I'd love to eat their food, but just can't. The lowest sodium level on any of their sandwiches or wraps is 1500 mg and they go as high as 2850 mg of sodium. That's just the sandwich. Their fries add another 600 mg of sodium.
Dear Mashed, Seeing an Arby's video without hearing mention of the Jamocha Shake feels...weird. I know, I know, you just did a video ranking milkshakes and the Jamocha Shake was mentioned. Just sayin". 🤣🤣
I have NOT been to an Arby's in YEARS. last time I was at one I could NOT, find the meat. I left HUNGRY and had to go somewhere else for more food. An order of onion rings is 5 onion rings and it's not even a ring of onion. Onion rings at Arby's are just ground onion pressed into a ring. The ham and cheese sandwich, you have to open the buns to see the meat. The ham does NOT come to the edge of the bun and there is only one thin slice. COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY going to Arby's
Back in the 1980s I was a Manager at another fast food restaurant chain, an unnamed one that makes whopping big hamburgers. I wanted to own a franchise. Here's what I was told. $75,000 franchise fee plus build my own store, then of course the Royalty and advertising fees. However, IF I WAS BLACK, the franchise fee would be ZERO and the company would build the store for me and let me pay it off from store profits. I personally helped train three black franchisees who are now multimillionaires, each owning a chain of stores. So much for WHITE PRIVILEDGE.
I have NEVER been to the arby's restaurant make MY ORDER CORRECTLY!I BOYCOTTED THE RESTAURANT AS A WHOLE ( FRANCHISED/OR CORPORATE) MAKES NO DIFFERENCE. THEY'LL NEVER GER MY BUSINESS EVER AGAIN!
I’m so hungry I could eat at Arby’s.
Better eat a snickers. It'll bring you back to sanity.
Arby's food is actually good!! BUT WHY IN HELL DID THE STOP SERVING ONION RINGS... They are the best!!!

What an essential business

One of the worst times ever to be in the restaurant business.

They kind of explained that in the video. 500k liquid 1 million assets, you know many people with that in your town?
@@Ahglock That is roughly about 1/5th the requirements that McD's wants to franchise.

Any idea how much the franchise makes in profit?!
I wanna try this dipping sandwich w/beef !!! Sadly I live in Germany 😞

"Must have a net worth of AT LEAST one million"
If Arbys is trying to push buying a franchise, it implies they are not doing very well.

Arby's is expensive, but worth every red cent.
Their Gyros are excellent, especially the Greek.
@@Ahglock French Dips are pretty much on every menu on the west coast.
GET OUT!! SERIOUSLY??
WOWZERS! I had no idea how much it REALLY cost to open a franchise like this.
I didnt think they were still open ! I havent seen one in ages.

I’m thinkin’ Arby’s.
A nickel?
Hi there. I worked at Arby’s until a month ago. Let’s just say you don’t wanna operate an Arby’s. Ask me for questions I won’t mind at all
Working there and owning one are 2 different things
The greek gyro is nasty. Do what you do best. Roast beef.
It costs more money than I have...
