Boyd's Stock Remington 11/87, Thumbhole "Sterling" Stock

- I've been a fan of Boyds stocks for many years now, I've installed Boyds for my personal use as well as many customers over the years. The fit and finish of a Boyds stock is excellent, not to mention the ergonomics of the stocks they produce. This is the first stock I've put on a shotgun, but it certainly won't be the last! This name of this specific Boyds stock is the "Sterling" thumbhole or thumb-through design. It really helped to take away the felt recoil and allowed my wife to compete without any complaint throughout the event. The fish scale checkering is a win, not too rough but still grips enough to keep control without discomfort.

Boyds featherweight thumbhole on a savage 110 24" sporter barrel. Smooth shootin n dead nuts with my bushnell forge. I dont shotgun hunt much anymore but I am a thumbhole stock fan all day. Love my Boyds

Do you have any experience with hunting with slugs. I got access to some land with that requirement and have no idea if I should use a rifled choke, smoothbore Sabot, or buy a rifled.
Perfect timing, I’ve actually got some slugs and a rifled choke I’m going to be testing. Those videos will come out in about a month or so, stay tuned
That would make a good turkey gun with that stock
If all goes well we will be turkey hunting in the fall, she’ll be using that shotgun
I have pins in my wrist I wear a glove that you get from therapy that therapeutic neti messy glove that they give you in therapy I wear one of them all the time it helps when I shoot my gun handgun too
She has one, but now we can’t find it. That does help her as well.
Got a Boyds for an 870 for my girlfriend for all the reasons described. Overall, horrible quality control and customer service. Months of no response to emails and not answering the phone. Finally, i posted the defective stock and bad CS in every forum I could think of and sent Boyd's the links. Within 15 minutes I got a call and problem resolved. I will never ever do business with them again or buy a factory gun with their stock on it. The horror stories are widespread. Some sites where they are a sponsor deleted my truthful posts such as rimfire central, which deleted other truthful product reviews of sponsor products like tech sights.
Other thing you could do is just get a banelli they are very comfortable to shoot
I’ve got a couple Benelli shotguns and she can’t shoot them comfortably, I was hoping she could.
