Besides the obvious with Ross.. Getting Michael Jordan would be a MASSIVE get. Just to learn more about Denny and MJs relationship and MJs history with Nascar would be amazing!
MJ doesn't come across to me as being comfortable speaking publicly.
Denny is an asset to the sport, whether people like him or not or agree with his opinions or not. We need more drivers that are in tune with everything and also willing to stick their necks out and be outspoken (and more owners like Joe Gibbs and sponsors like FedEx, Sport Clips, Mavis, et al that allow him to do that). Other owners (or team leaders like Jeff Gordon, who I respect immensely and do understand his side, don't get me wrong) and sponsors need to realize that their drivers saying something that a good chunk of people might disagree with isn't necessarily a bad thing in the big picture. Rocking the boat is good, as long as it's the right boat to rock. Doesn't mean they have to be a little bit antagonistic about it as Denny has been at times, but still. Just be real (and let them BE real).
I totally disagree. Denny is to two faced. And he hires drivers with no talent but marketable. Hiring a seat filler does not help the sport where competition is suppose to be the product.
Spot on, totally agree with you. People love to hate on Denny and then complain about "NASCAR not being the same as it used to be" pretty much because of generic drivers with no personalities.

I personally enjoy hearing Hamlin speak as an owner/driver. His insight seems unfiltered which I tip my hat to.

Had no idea Joey had a podcast. Great insights from this segment. Cool to see how the two interact. Denny's next podcast season sounds like it's likely to have some new twists. Denny seems to more and more feel that he's at a stage in his career where rocking boats is gonna be worth the trouble for the fun it'll stir up. :-)

Lol Jr has the ability to call a team out and they'd listen. Even as a fan of Denny I'm not sure the message would be received the same way.
