This is a BeeGees song and Tom sings it great. I was looking his guest list for his TV show and TV specials. Everybody who was in show biz was on his show. I couldn’t believe the big name stars appearing on his shows. The cream of the crop.
That's the first time I have heard him sing this song, he really gets into every song he sings, he added a bit of soul to a Bee Gees song, good reaction thank you 🌹
Over the years I have listened to almost every song the Tiger of Wales has ever sung, but not this one. One more joy this singer has provided with his prodigious voice. Thanks for sharing.
Kinesha - you are a joy my friend - just absolutely love your oh so genuine Tom reactions, just lovin' Tom - what an entertainer - one of the greats!!! Life is good - listening to your reactions!
As for getting addicted... Give Elvis' work respect, but be true to Tom. There's just so much about Tom that is meant for our continuing love... body and soul. The power and control in his voice, the pure love for his craft, his authenticity and heart, his expressiveness, his sensitivity, his vulnerability, strength, and style. His endearing sense of humor, his great charm, approachability, and grace. And, of course, that incredible masculinity. (Be still my heart!)
I too had heard that song before. It sounds so familiar to me. But never sung by Tom Jones until you Kinesha put it in your site (thank you again!). This is the fifth or sixth time I listen to it and it just raises goose bumps in my skin. The more times I do, the more I like this song. It happens to me now the same that happened back in the late seventies when I got the tape A-tom-ic Jones: the first time, I found the songs were quite fine but not much more, but as I was listening to them more and more my liking them grew bigger and bigger, and although my English then was so poor (poorer than now :))I exerted myself to understand the lyrics and would find myself humming them continually: "To make a big man cry", "A little you", "A woman´s eyes", "I´ll never let you go", "More", "Where do you belong?" "Face o a loser"... What a Legend!. He improves dramatically almost every song he sings, almost any song one has heard before.
I had forgotten about this one, but great to see it again. It's a Bee Gee's song, written by Barry & Robin Gibbs. Yes, Tom is easy to get addicted to, especially the early years. We see you swooning. Wait till you catch the Elvis addiction too. 😊
Kinesha you were totally gone at the first bar babe. ( chuckle ) Your wee face just lights up and off you go to that happy place. Of course you're kind enough to let the rest of us traipse along. I wish you rainbows.

What a very few People realize is that Tom Jones even w/o singing a note is a Man's Man!! Which ALWAYS comes through in his music and Performance!! It is a quality sooooo lacking in most if not all of the Male singers of Today.
Love his voice ,a wonderful man ,so much soul

Bee Gees wrote this for Otis Redding, who died before recording it. Tom does a nice cover here.
And Otis was a hero of Tom's and I'm sure this was his version of what Otis might have done with this song.

What a great artist he was. So despised by 70's rock press. And I love the way you show your emotion.

Bee Gees original is even greater.
I agree imo too.
wow.... f***ng YT is down world wide, not loading
Don't get me wrong: Tom does a nice job, here; it's just not a great selection for his particular vocal talent.
