I cut my front fender and rear wheel wells. Go to auto zone or Pepe boys and pick up “ fender trim” it’s a rubber trim that will wrap around the fresh cuts and helps prevent rust.. etc. make the cuts look factory after you install it. Takes about 10 min to install.

I'm about to the VK56DE swap but before I do, I heard the engine does have over heating problems, there specific brands oil you have to use or it will miss up engine and in some cases the engine doesn't last longer than 30.000 miles, you have your engine for have you experienced any issues
May I ask what antenna are you running and how do you have it mounted to your rear bumper? I wanna do the same

i didnt do the engine swap myself. I had Driven Desire in ohio do the swap for me.

Remove the bumper completely and go aftermarket steel bumper, install a winch if you want/need. But yes, the more you add, the heavier it gets, the more gas you spend. I own a stock titan and I barely get 20mpg on a good day in the freeway. Your probably down to 16 freeway mpg by now... Or less. It's a trade you'll have to be willing to accept. Good luck. I like your build though.
yeah the mpg is low, it's like 190 miles to the tank lol I'll be getting a fun car come spring time. i might get a front bumper but not right now tho

i v8 swapped it because i wanted more hp/tq and the v8 sounds amazing, didnt really get it for mpg or to run 35's but it helps i guess lolz
@@Mall_Crawling_X is there a reason why you’re not running 12.5 wide tires? I have seen that as a common choice where everyone’s running 10” or lower. Is that a physical barrier or a preference, particularly with the titan swap.

How long did it take before you blew up your front differential? you sure it's 3.36 because I dont see the offroad or pro4x badge. even then it's pusing it with 35s
its an SE, i never claimed it was a pro4x or offroad. i upgraded the front diff to an m205 and changed my rear diff as well. i also have a V8 engine, and yeah i'm sure about that as well since it has 2 extra cylinders
What headlights are those? Can you drop a link? I have my Xterra on 35s, lifted 3.5" and cut wheel wells just like you did. I love it! Great video btw!!

4.56 for manual and 4.10 for auto and tool get that 6th gear back in the manual with the 4.56
Whats gas mileage like after the v8 swap?
the mpg didnt really go up or down, pretty much stayed the same. but i got more HP and a lot more TQ. but i didnt do it for the mpg's mainly the smiles per gallon lolz

in the market for one of these, what's your opinion on holding out for a model with a factory locker? I am only interested in manual and 4wd models sso that really limits my selection. .i think only the off road and pro 4x models had the rear locker?
yeah offroad and pro4x models have the lockers. if you plan on offroading then i think you should hold off and find one with it. it will save you time and money down the road. i should have done that lolz

@@cyclonus01 well 2005-2010 models have smod issues but only on the auto's and youre going for manual so you should be good with that

I used a 30$ laser level guide to trim the bumper evenly and used pvc board to fill in the space. I came out pretty clean.

Woah I was looking to buy a crashed pro 4x from an auction looking at yours makes me want it even more, you wouldn't want to sell me yours for a ridiculously low price would you? Also there are some fiber glass fenders I believe for the xterra to clear those 35s my brother has it on his, had to order from California though and not cheap :(

Did you put hub spacers on for the rims?
Only in the rear. 1.5”
@@Mall_Crawling_X meant hub rings so that the center bore sits on hub rather than lug nuts.

well considering that it has a 4" lift and fender cuts and it's still rubbing, yeah i would say it's necessary
I've got a 2" lift and wanting to put 35s on Mt Xterra, but I most likely will just stick to 33s
Why not stay with 8" wide 16" rims?
i had 17's before, also i may upgrade to the pathy v8 brakes which require at least 17's i believe
