I wish nurses followed protocols and regulations were strict enough to make them follow protocols here in Europe too. If anything happens to the patient due to medical error, usually no one sues no one here and no one makes investigations for such mistakes and damages, it will not even occur to the patient that he could do anything about his bad luck. Sad for us patients.
What if there's a lot of pain, and now it hurts so bad to even turn my arm, and they didn't remove it and took the blood anyways been 4 days now and still hurts really badly
Earlier this week I was giving plasma and this happened to me. They ladies were saying that it was because of the fatty food I had eaten the night before. I did notice some foolery when I was saying yeah, I did eat 2 burgers and large fries. It was swollen on my right side and the became concerned about whether or not they would be able to give me my blood back. Well they stuck me in my left arm which is not my giver and did the same thing only this time it wasn’t as large. 🤦🏽♂️ Now I have a nasty bruise for who knows how long.
A fatty diet has nothing to do with your bruising. Depending on the extent of the swelling and size of the bruise, it could impact the nerve in the area and lead to complications. You should document every detail of the procedure in case it develops into a lifelong complication. If the swelling occurred during the donation and it wasn't terminated, that's a problem.
A phlebotomist stuck me in my wrist 2 inches behind my thumb. It burned, and now feels like a bad sunburn on the back of my hand ?
It happened to me, but mine was successfully completed
Soooo... HOW LONG? This video explains everything except what it says it will explain.
I got a bruised vein from getting my blood drawn. Can I lift heavy after a couple days even though it’s still bruised?
No
