The Mongoose Switchback Elite is now $549 at DSG, but I would pass on it. It's only T1 aluminum; the GT Avalanche 1X is T6 aluminum, which is about 4x greater tensile strength than the Mongoose, which means you can ride the GT more aggressively than you should the Mongoose.
There are many way better options for not much more cost than the Mongoose.
