Think the mount I made for the Bot frame introduced some vibrations will have to test again.
I was going to ask, when I fly my GoPro on the Avada, I get vibrations throughout the footage that even stabilization can’t fix
This is a big issue for me. I love the footage but I have massive vibrations throughout the flight that make it hard to watch after? Any suggestions?
Hi, you mention in your vid that you changed the motors on the Avata, can you tell us which motors you used, how easy it was to change them, and was that because the original motors were underpowered to carry the extra weight of the GoPo 11 Mini? Sorry if my questions are a little dumb, I'm an FPV newbie! Any advice/recommendations for the Avata would be greatly appreciated. What mount for the GoPro would you suggest, and is there any way of reducing the vibrations to the footage that others have mentioned? Thank you in advance! The back side mounting is for people like me. It's perfect for mounting on the chin of my full face helmet or for the chest mount to make mountain bike videos. I enjoyed the video and thinking of upgrading from my GoPro 7 to this.

New Hero 11 Mini looks great, especially for things like FPV, and even as body and helmet cams. It’s good to see GoPro trying new things out. Nice video, and thanks for sharing.
Just got mine today so also keen to verify some of these claims!
Was very disappointed that the Mini is barely any lighter than the Hero11 Black regular (133g vs 154g) !
I remove those clips and I’m down to 117 g now

Isn’t the point of having an Avata is that you don’t need to carry a camera 🤷🏽♂️
Well, the invite it does not offer multiple frame rates and a lot of people like to have 30 or even 24 frames per second. Also, people like the idea of having 10 bit color which the Avata does not support.
@@OriginaldoBo There's also the added benefit of having a larger 8:7 aspect ratio sensor for added low light performance, as well as enabling portrait video crop without as much loss of information.

Coming back down through that gap in the trees was nice. I can’t figure out the level of distortion and jello on my action 2 . Combined with the heat problem I think I would go a diff direction in the future for an fpv cam

Hi Ken, thanks for yet another super informative video, I love ‘em. I got your mount for the DJI FPV and it works so good with the GoPro 11 mini! I’m looking to get another drone, a smaller cinewhoop, so i can also start flying and filming indoors. Again, using the 11 mini as the recording camera. I was looking to get an iFlight bumblebee, but as I already have the DJI Goggles v2 and the FPV controller from my DJI FPV, I’m now actually starting to have some doubts. Especially when you consider the flying time one would get with the Avata, compared to LiPo battery’s. What would you recommend? Get an Avata and a Fly more kit to fly with the stuff I already have, or get the other drone, a new controller, LiPo battery’s and charger, etc… The Avata route would even be cheaper, but I’m just not sure if the drone holds up to the other option. In the first clip, were you flying over an old golf course? Looked like a grown out bunker and the lining of the trees looked familiar. That would be a cool cinematic to fly in better lighting conditions

Is the mini worth it over the fullsize even when considering that the mini is heavier than the fullsize if you remove the battery and battery door and power it off of your flight pack?
If you break your screens, you can just use it over wifi like a mini.

I fly it on my DJI FPV with Ken’s mount and it works GREAT!!
I'm sure you know this, but I just want to point out that you're footage would look a lot better if you keep the camera settings on Manual. Especially because you're a good pilot.
When I do a first look it’s left in auto like the average Joe will do…

Hi I have a question without upgrading the motors how much battery will it have ?

Anytime mounting to the top it will hinder the battery life
Quick ??? For you or the community , I recently did a video and noticed some blur or fuzziness(aka maybe compression blur?) in the DVR , will I get this if I put a sd in the Avata , new to hobby and if I am going fly over water and take that risk would like the footage to be good 👍

Thanks Ken for all your vids. Do you think reel steady is worth it even though there are some editors with stabilization added Lumafusion and gyro yet the mini doesn't have gps? Brothers need a second job. As the owner of your bad and ribbed I would purchase a mini mount.
I like reel steady and it’s reliable in my opinion. Gyro flow is also great as well
QUESTION! Could you make a mount that sticks out the back for top down Ariel videos? This is the only reason I want to return my avata for mini 3 pro (trade fun for functionality)
Are you still happy with Mini 11, any issues with it locking up after charging or app not linking ?
I like it but it screws with my O3 air unit
@@OriginaldoBo interesting, I have bought and returned 2 different mini 11 units due the freeze up after charge, the app issue was kind of the kicker , just buggy. I was hoping it would resolve

@OriginaldoBo Thanks for the reply.. gives me confidence to do that with the dji fpv drone.. but with the avata keep it smooth and cinematic and not too aggressive with the mini 11 on top? I can't find any nd filters online with the 11 mini. Do they not exist/ can't be mounted to the mini 11? Thanks once more

Hi Ken, what product you used to fix the Dji google 2 fogging issues?
I saw someone say its just a body temp thing but if you put them on your forehead to warm them to your body temp.
Or if they do fog up if you pull them off your face or wipe them for a couple secs. It shouldnt happen again for the rest of the session!
Can confirm both of these worked and much more convinient than buying a chemical to put somewhere where your eyes are close to.
