I bought this model 6 months ago coz I needed a car quick and it was local. I absolutely love driving this car. Very comfortable and fast enough. After replacing brakes, disc, cam belt etc it stand me in £1400 and worth every penny.
Ive always had a soft spot for renault cars. In Canada, we had the Renault Alliance. Looked perfect parked on a cobblestone street in Quebec City. A very french canadian car indeed.

Probably electronics, like most of French cars. Specifically for Megane II - fuel jets for 1.5L diesels and turbine for 1.9L diesels mostly.

I have just bought a used automatic Megane Automatic special edition. It is one of the most comfortable cars that I have ever had!, it's only a 1.6, the auto transmission is superb, it drives like a bigger car, overall it scores pretty high on my list. I was a Volvo man most of my life, and also owned a Mercedes 560 a V 8 cylinder. It was the most powerful car that I have ever had. Had to get rid of it in the end, as once it was used for a couple of years it began to empty my walled very quickly, It gave me great pleasure while it worked well. It had too many fancy gadgets that started failing.

You can buy YATOUR it's a digital music changer , it can be connected to the original autoradio of the Megane 2

I have just yesterday bought a 2005, 1.5 DCi and I'm so happy with the car as I have paid only £500 and the car offering plenty for its low price. All the windows and side mirrors are electric but the only bad point is that the car is a bit sluggish. Still good for my run around car.
Daniel Osdinia could potentially be the turbo timing, my 2003 is sluggish on the hills but otherwise drives great
CosmicSquidly yeah, on hills. It had a timing belt change in Feb. also has rough idle occasionly. are these proof of turbo timing as well? any other clue, plz?
Daniel Osdinia Rough on idle could potentially be a misfire not 100% sure what may be causing this, mine runs fine on idle but others I've driven are a bit rough, the timing is most likely controlled by the ECU, which is why my turbo does not kick in until 3000 rpm when it should come in around 2000 rpm, I'm going to get it looked at in the near future to see if this is what is the issue, if it is I'll let you know

Creo que usted no debería meter a todos los coches eléctricos en el mismo saco por una empresa que siempre saca coches malos relación calidad-precio y que encima ha sacado este que es exageradamente malo en relación calidad-precio.
Si yo fuera usted y tuviese la suficiente capacidad económica como para comprarme un coche eléctrico lo haría.

bought won of these ,54000 on clock sold at 60000 new clutch, new gearbox mount, two cam belts water pump washer pump new electric window inner track rods outer track rods lower arm mount drive shaft fell out cant buy new pin replaced whole shaft front wheel nuts constantly coming loose and timing on start up sounds like engine falling appart four new tyres average mileage 1500 per year drank fuel at astonishing rate o ye thermal fuse gone was told major job to repair allmost forgot replaced top strut mountings still made large cracking sound when turning steering wheel sold for 100 pounds glad to see the back of it.you might ask why two cambelts well im told if the garage who was a renault garage had put a water pump on when they put the new cam belt on it would have saved me the expence of having to do it twice as with the clutch was told they had to do that twice as it was the wrong clutch.

The pre-facelift version definitely wasn't that reliable, the post-facelift version (this Megane is actually the post-facelift model), however, is actually very good.

I have this car and I hate how it looks.
Very disappointed with my buy, (2005) too noisy as if you're driving a truck,
slow car ( frustrating) and ...... uses lots of petrol, not keeping it for long..
But it's reliable, right?
NEVER buy this car, it's just a piece of crap : it has taken very bad the weight of the years. Every 2 or 3 months a new problem. I was so happy to sold it !
You definitely bought the pre-facelift version, the facelift model is much more reliable.
Nope, it was the facelist version (2007)1.9Dci 130HP automatic gear.
@@sebastientoccupe5704 If it's an automatic gear, then there is a problem, because at that time Renault's with manual gear are very reliable! Nowadays Renault uses the same automatic transmission as Volkswagen (also known as DSG or DCT)!
Of course there was a problem, and a big one : i've bought a Renault (the automatic gear was only one issue among others). Those models are very famous because of their lack of reliability. If you can understand french, i advice you to have a look of all french forums concerning this car : a LOT of people were complaining about and i was one of them.
@@sebastientoccupe5704 My father had 3 Renault's (Laguna I, Laguna II and Clio III) and they were all very reliable cars according to him! It's all about the maintainiance, when it comes to Renault's! If you want garbabe, just look at Opel and Fiat and you will find a dozen of junk vehicles on these two brands!
