I was about 9yrs old when hurricane Andrew came through Hollywood Fl. We went through the eye so we had th full effect and it was scary. We didn't have power for weeks cars on top of trees it was insane. Now I live in Bama I sure hope my gutter guy gets them done before this hits us. Prayers for all of us 🙏
I was living in Miami Beach FL in 92. I was 10 and also experienced Hurricane Andrew. We stayed with family in Kendall FL. I remember it all. It was ugly. By the way, I went to Biscayne Elementary. I may know you. Lol.
@@turtlepowers778 I grew up in Broward County Hollywood. We lived there till I was 12 then moved to Bama. I think I went to a Hollywood park elementary but not to sure I'm getting old lol
I was in middle school in Michigan when Andrew passed through. Played basketball outside and the wind was blowing the ball 5 feet from side to side, good times.
My brother and his wife lived there when Andrew hit. I lived in Missouri and I called for days literally panicking because I couldn't reach them at home nor could I get anyone at either of their places of employments. I finally got an operator that actually lived down there as well and this person went out of her way to find out if my brother and his wife were okay. Idk if she went or if she had someone else to go but someone actually managed to get into his neighborhood and find and speak with him. That lady operator phoned me back and told me that they were alive and assisting in helping others in and around their community. It was another week or so before I was able to here my brothers voice myself. I will always be grateful to that lady operator and those other good and kind folks that took risks so they could hopefully ease mine and my families fears (which they def. did do) upon finding my brother. Talk about genuinely good folks.... They went way above and beyond their duty, jobs, etc. And I am and will remain forever grateful. The Floridians are very caring folks.

What ever happened to the cold front pushing it east, all of a sudden meteorologists stop mentioning it. Aren’t euro models more accurate as well?
Euro is more accurate but GFS allows them to flip flop more so they can keep giving updates and getting views
I trust the euro model more then any other one, and it seems to be hiting between tampa and Sarasota

The longer it stays over water the more the wind shear will take Ian from a cat 4 to a cat 1.
It's only going to land a 1 or a tropical storm
