A direct hit on Tampa from this is still very possible they should have mentioned that because if that happens and millions are caught off gaurd it can lead to a new Orleans Katrina situation because Tampa is very vulnerable to storm surge due to the shallow waters off the coast and the bays except Tampa is like 3 times the metro population as New Orleans so it can get very ugly if Tampa is not prepared.
You do realize that the big thing with New Orleans was awful infrastructure to lower income area and the levees broke, which caused most of the flooding. You can’t compare Tampa to New Orleans

am not worryed i plan to stay in my apartment and ride it out in pinellas i dont have the money to leave show am staying and riding it out plus it will get weaker the closer it gets it be like ETA was in 2020 again. 5 to 8 feet never happens here we have never gotten a flood that covered the whole road and i live right by a lake with a river full of alligators and its never been bad enough for the rive and lake water to cover the road. they are over doing it with the report.

Hurricane resistant windows/siding etc.. Apartments homes can have similar issues if not built to code, maintain/prepped for these types of storms. Roofs, balconies, windows etc.

Because as of right now the intensity of the hurricane as well as the size is still taking shape. Once that becomes clearer then I would think they would tell us that.
The track of the storm is still taking shape and we discuss that every 3 hours. In past storms, they've discussed the size of the storm with every advisory as well.
