    What would you recommend for someone who hasn’t used one before, I have an incredibly heavy flow for the first day or two. I’ve never used one before but your videos have really sold me on them lol.

      I hated the cup. It was so uncomfortable to me and I couldn't get it to seal right. I love the disks. I don't feel it and it collects a lot. I use the ones you can buy at the store.

      A cup never worked for me (leaked even on lighter days) and I hated the bladder pressure.
      What changed my life for the better is the reusable disc! Auto-dumping is a game changer!!! For someone with a heavy flow it is awesome! I can highly recommend using a disc. I use Lumma since 2 years and love it. Just had to cut of the stem completely as it poked me. Tried now the reusable Flex. Also good, but Lumma is way easier to insert for me. The Flex has a firmer rim and tries to open up while inserting and sometimes even tries to turn upside down. I only tried it as someone said that the thinner basket allows longer time periods before one needs to auto-dump on heavier days.
      I know one thing: I wish I had a disc much much earlier in life!!

    How do you feel about Divacups? I was having my period for 3 weeks straight at one point (bad birth control) and I wanted a better option than throwing out tampons all the time! I started with a Cora cup, didn’t really like and then moved onto a DivaCup that I love!

    My favorite is the Lalicup. I have their largest size. Although all cups do press on my urethra and partially cut off the urine stream. It’s uncomfortable for me to pee with a cup.
    I hated using a disk, every time I would stand up the disk would unhook from my pubic bone and dump out the contents into my underwear. I used a diaphragm in the past so I’m very familiar with hooking it behind my pubic bone, it wasn’t user error.

    I do have 2 Saalt soft cups within my cup collection and they are my favs so far. Only have 1 reusable disc by Flex that I got on pre-order in March and love it but am curious about other discs now. My vagina started acting weird this year and was getting annoyed with cup use so disc seem to be the new switch for me. Had been using cups for 5 years now.

      Try tampons, maybe get ones with applicators. They should feel about the same as inserting 1 finger.
      You can ofc use cups too but they're a bit more complicated + feel more like inserting 2-3 fingers. If you get a cup, don't get a sturdy model (which is what most bigs cups are).

    I’ve tried the organicup in the sizes small and a and both of them didn’t really work for me. I think I might have a low cervix but I’m not sure how to tell. I have issues with the cups almost being outside of my vagina. And the stem will pretty much be at the opening even after trimming. Does this sound like a low cervix?

    • @katharina1788
      @katharina1788 2 роки тому +1

      Watch the video about inserting discs. Kim Rosas explains how to insert correctly. You need to aim downwards while inserting (towards tailbone). Maybe you didn't push far enough and didn't hook it good. Watch her video!
      The Flex has a very firm rim. For me the Lumma disc is easier to insert. I have both discs.
      Lumma very often had an offer to buy one and get one for free. You then could try 2 different sizes in case you can't resolve the issue with the Flex. But first I would give it more time to try.
