Getting rid of parking mandates, reducing lot size requirements (from 5,750sqft to 2,500), allowing people to build more units per lot by right (3), removing/reducing height limits on buildings 500-600ft away from single family housing to 100ft or less, and removing the huge bureaucratic development plans that could take a year to get buildings approved for construction, reducing the time to a month or two. The reason why housing costs so much there is because of those housing and zoning restrictions that politicians refuse to get rid of. In Austin they’re removing housing restrictions.
