How to fix a broken mailbox. The old mailbox has seen better days. It was time to fix the broken mailbox. This is how we did it. Hardest part was cutting out the new support board and drilling a few holes.

Thanks for showing me how easy this was. Question: What's the best way to measure the new board to fit the base of the new Mailbox?
Also - any thought about preventing the board from rotting by painting?
Keep the old board and place that on the new board and trace it on the new board. Then cut that out. Glad it was helpful! Good luck.
If the new mailbox is a different size then you measure the bottom of the new mailbox and the mark that on the new board.
