You don’t have to pay rent monthly. Just that the minimum is 1 month. So if you want to pay up to 5 years you are welcome to pay. This is actually better than Nigeria because we have many options including paying monthly or yearly but Nigeria you don’t have that option. Plastic bags were banned 15 years ago. You don’t need A/C in Nairobi because the weather is perfect. Similar case in Seattle Washington you would not find A/C anywhere

Am trying to imagine you have just been employed or you are trying to hustle and establish yourself. How do you raise the rent for an entire year? Let's say the house is 10k monthly, how can a hustler raise 100k, from where? Unless you conduct a family fundraiser. Nigerians including the newly employed must be having huge financial reserves.

Even in the USA we pay monthly. How can one save money for the whole year plus deposit. What if you move to the place and it’s bad and you didn’t catch it when you checked it you have already given them the year rent and you want to get another place and look for a year rent. That’s crazy

The security checks at the airport entrance where passengers have to walk out is for the cars to pass through scanners. As you walk through the scanners, the car also does so on the other side. This is to ensure both vehicle and human traffic don't pose any danger as you approach the main terminal

Nairobi has a more tropical vibe, the temperature is not too hot or too cold so we dont find the essence if AC as our temperature regulates itself

I would rather pay rent per month.. what if the building has a problem in june or in April you get transferred to another city to work.. what happens to your money?

Yes, I love the flexibility of our system. You might have to move suddenly due to work or family reasons, try getting your rent balance from these greedy landlords!

It depends the area ,it’s varies from 400k to 1.5 million naira
Which is equivalent to 💵 513.50 cent to 💵1,953 there about .it’s expensive too .but we pay yearly . It’s only shortlet apartment and hotels that pay daily .

What do you mean where do you get the money. Not sure where you live but if you coming from the U.S and earn 50k -100k a year thats a lot of money in Kenyan shillings so yeah it’s possible to pay a year upfront .

Point of correction brother. Plastic bags were banned more than 10 years ago. Plastics were banned during Kibakis era. So when Uhuru came into power, the law was already in effect. It could be around 15yrs now since plastics were banned in Kenya.
