What an absolute beauty 😍👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾
Great sound from the DC6 pity it wasn’t a piston engined DC3 but still amazing to see these old birds 👍
AVL doesn't disappoint! Been waiting for Kevin and Rudy to catch some planes older than me, lol. Seriously what incredible aircraft and worth the trip to ANC alone.
Meow Cheryl!
@@peterwalsh1357hat’s awesome 👏🏻 Purr 😸I really like the vintage Airplane’s
@@chadhart8486 meow mate! Good to hear from you Chad. I love these oldies and their sturdy airframes should go on for a few more years with newer turboprop engines and regular maintenance!
Incredible footage Kevin & to witness these planes land on the live stream was so special. Thank you for sharing these magnificent planes👌
Two amazing pieces of aviation history!
Now that's something you don't see every day. What a rare catch, dude!
Give it up for the maintenance crews who keep these beauties in the air 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👌🏾
I’ll second that Gill….a lot of TLC required for these priceless jewels of the skies👌👏👏👏👏
@@kenalloway1509 Ken Ken 😀👋🏾
Hey Gill👋 Hope you’re doing well my friend👌
These are the planes I remember from my youth plane spotting with my dad. Up to 707 ,dc-8,dc-9, 727
The DC -3 is a Basler Turbo conversion
Which is called a BT-67
Gotta love the tail dragger with retrofit turbo props!
Wonderful
Way cool
Thumbs up for Everts Air Cargo and Everts Air Fuel for still flying these old beauties. Finally some Props flying on this Channel! That was a rewarding visit, thank you guys! And by the way... that "DC-3" was actually a Basler BT-67, a re-engined, modernized Version of the old DC-3/C-47-Machines. That partcular Aircraft even had the Wings of a "Super DC-3" or C-117.
A video for the archives of Airline Videos! Excellent editing and stunning arrivals!
Excellent job, Kevin!
That’s some serious aviation history right there
It is good to see DC6 planes still flying. My mum+ and I flew to France on a DC6 in 1959 and both parents+ and I flew back to the US from France on a DC6 in 1961. My dad+ was in the American military, and his last duty station was in France. Good memories.
our family flew home from Europe in one of these in the 50s.after ww2.bring back memories.took a ship over and flew back refueled 3 times.dont make them like they did.sturdy.
Wonderful to see these birds still flying.
Did the DC-3 land with no flaps down? Great job Kevin and Rudy!
Awesome! Awesome to see these old birds still flying strong ❤
DC-3 much cooler to see that the dreamlifter. So iconic!
I've never seen either one of these planes before. Can you imagine how noisy that DC6 must be? With the quad props? They were neat looking planes, though. I'm sure my dad would recognize them right away. I even think he's flown on DC3's before. Pretty wild, Kev!
@@javaman4584 really? I'm sorry to say that, even though I'm in my mid 50s, I don't remember those airplanes at all. The only time I've ever seen them, before now, was in an old, classic movie. I figured they were as noisy as all the other prop planes I've flown, and I've flown a few! The worst plane I ever flew on was a little 19 seater Beech 1900. I kept expecting the pilots to go out and wind the engines up like they used to. It was singularly one of the most horrifying flights of my life! I've also flown a Shorts 360(awful!) and a Dash 8. They were all so noisy I got a headache. I finally solved that issue by using earplugs! Now, of course, were all jet engines. I will confess they're rather loud on takeoff, but afterward, they're so quiet you can barely hear them. Though I've flown 2 of the worst jets EVER, it, a DC9 and a Fokker 100. Awful, awful planes. The RJ900's I fly up and down the coast are more comfortable than those planes. And thank GOD Delta has done away with the RJ200s. They're pretty horrible, too! The RJ 700s and 900s, on the other hand, are quite comfortable!
Im going to fly on a DC-3 this month. Im excited. I've flown it few times but this is going to be my longest.
Aren’t you glad you went to Alaska Kevin? You saw a new place and all sorts of different aircraft. The Dream Lifter was Amazing, and something we will always remember.
Turboprop converted DC-3 AKA BT-67
Incredible captures for the DC-6A and DC-3C both of landing at Anchorage! It was a piston engine but it will be still amazing to see the old birds! Thank you so much for that Kevin and Rudy, appreciate that!
An Oldie but Goodie!
Great show.
Thank You
I've never seen these in person before and was I ever amazed how fine they were for aircraft that age! Really glad Kevin and Rudy were there for the chance to catch them!
Yes Cheryl, it's great they are keeping them flying with newer turboprop engines. The original piston engine on a DC3 would wake me up in my youth, because I live only a few yards from Blackpool airport main runway! They were LOUD!
@@peterwalsh1357 Wow! I kept watching the landing gear😁 Anchorage really was amazing. It really made this Queenaholic smile 😄
I work just across from ANC. Close enough to see so many amazing planes daily. Traffic for Lake Hood too, right across our work area. Enjoy your videos😀
So great to see these old workhorses going strong!
DC-6- "I'm the oldest plane ever on Airline Videos!"
DC-3- "Hold my beer!"
AMAZING!! Simply amazing!!
What durable planes!!!
This is my favorite video I've ever seen from you all. Wow. Elegant history.
They are amazing. Thank you for showing them.
Amazing catches… loved that DC6, still an impressive work-horse around 70 years after its registration!
Good evening boys
She sounds so good
Two very cool captures.... 🏔 Anchorage Rocks!
❤❤❤. What can one say.
A melhor live de todas!! Incrível ver DC3 e DC6 ainda voando. Muito obrigada por compartilhar com a gente!!✈️🇧🇷
Very beautiful 😍
Best plane video ever!
DC-3 and DC-6 on AVL - Another amazing “FIRST”
Ohh that cute little DC-3! Thanks for the upload!

..and its the oldest plane on AVL to be BOOPED! Boop that snoot! boop dat!! Beautiful plane..awesome coverage ONLY on AVL! 🙂
Beautiful
The ole grandmas still going strong.
❤
The “classic cars” of aviation.
Hi
she's a bouncer
Perfect comment! That was my husband landing the DC-6 and his nickname is Bouncer! 😂
Guys... those planes have the peculiar lack of pressurization of current jets, so with good maintenance they can easily last 100 years working excellently 😎👍🏼 they are practically slow dinosaurs but, they are very safe and they were certainly made to last✈️✈️✈️ 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼😎👍🏼
That's a proper plane
UPS 747 holding short, because EVEN THE QUEEN must yield to this classic!
I worked at everts air for a stint during the winter, seeing dc-6s daily was incredible but I still wish I quit earlier. it was just an incredibly toxic workplace.
Douglas.
Sensacional.
Tudo muito lindo lindo 👏👏
Wow so great loved it guys👍
I live in Anchorage, my whole life they use those old planes to go to the villages. It’s not that uncommon!!
Amazing congratulations Kevin great to see the old planes
Another 5 years and it Will be paid off
