Don’t forget to like and share the video and subscribe to stay up to date with the doc. Can’t wait to share this with you all because I’m putting my heart into this. I love you all
Always appreciate your content! Your one of my biggest influences!! Nothing like when Vuhlandes post a new video or photo set 🙌🏼🐐
Congrats man, I'm sure this project gonna be awesome🙂🙂
Can I help with your doc
Hello. I ordered a print from your website back in January and haven't received any shipping updates or anything other than a confirmation email as a receipt. I've sent you messages on multiple websites privately, and I haven't been able to make contact. Please respond.
@@jordanwalker3553 hello. Please right now send an email to denzellxleonard@gmail.com
I’m about to document myself thank you
FACTSSS
A vuhlandes documentary is gonna be crazy! I’m here for it
Dude, the color on that mcdonalds sign shot is insane. Love you mindset behind the things you make. Really solid
This is awesome. Your documentary photography is seriously top tier and I can't wait to see what you create documentary-style in video format.
Have fun with this one, man
This feels like the threshold where you cross into the next level of your creativity
I'm so happy you decided to share some of your process for creating your documentary. Super excited to see the final vision.
Forget what my name says, ive been following you for years and you’re a huge inspiration to me and your editing style is one of a kind I want to really get like you
If you bring the same vision and creativity to this doc that you bring to your still photos, I'm all in. If we don't document life, both the good and bad parts of it, things won't ever get better. Andy
Your work is incredible.
Your authenticity is beautiful.
Casual viewer, finally subscribed. I liked what you had to say in this video, and I'm excited to watch your journey with this project. I'm on the edge of jumping into solo documentary film work myself, so this was a cool look into your thoughts on it. Good luck - looking forward to seeing more from you!
Speak it into existence my dude. When you get your crew. You already have a film making career you are doing what most don't you've pressed record.
Incredibly proud of you!
As a videographer who's interested in getting into filmmaking, I was inspired by this video, especially the way you respond to document your everyday life, the people and things happening around you. Get it!
You’re videos keep me inspired, brother. I professionally put the cam down, maybe a good 5 years ago, and shoot when I feel compelled, but I’ve shot pretty much all my own music videos (either I shot or my cam was used and I directed) over the past 10 years (give or take 1 or 2 vids). I’ve been a bit frustrated not creating any new video media to this degree (meaning an actual cam, not a phone for TikTok-esque clips) and having my music feel naked, as well as not feeling as inspired for ideas knowing I don’t have help or the adequate funds to get it, but just watching your vids, keeps me grounded as a creator and back into a mode of “let me just try some shit/new angles/etc”. So thank you for sharing yourself and content like this, even when it’s just talking about the concept.
Also, that’s one sexy ass memory card, now I’m going to have to look into that company, thanks to you, haha.
Much success to you on this documentary! 💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿
The composition never lacking 😭🔥
Nice lens pickup! I’ve been rocking with this on my Sony for a few years and I think it’s such a great lens! Can’t wait to see what you make with it bro.
Keep doing what you are doing - The story that moves you is ALWAYS the one that needs to be told!!!! I'm in the middle of a "one man band" mini-doc as well at the moment about why people workout and I totally get wanting to do it solo because it is my baby.....LOL. I wish you all the best!
what issues with chosen camera - vintage lens combo did you discover during the process of making this documentary?
was it the right choice of lens/camera combo now when you look back at your result?
Can you make a video about how to choose the right lenses ahead of your project while one is planning out what to shoot, where to shoot, etc, - what perspective and angles to film, and then why one should choose what lenses doing it the right way?
really great work and fun to hear you talking about this all!
is a new way to tell the world about America to the world by these type of self-made documentaries.
you think very similar to myself, but I am in the begging learning filming and tech, I took a BA in journalism and started a master in Documentary film production. but my mom got cancer and I dropped everything in life to move home to her... is been really tough after loosing her and first now I am feeling I am starting to sniff back in the direction of documentary work.
I found your channel really helpful to understand how to do things by your own means.
cheers from Sweden
Ive been watching your videos for a while now and u never cease to amaze me. Even for videos as « simple » as this one, one can notice your attention to detail. I can’t wait to see your documentary and what the future holds for you!! All the best from France :)
this video honestly has me tearing up, i have thought about doing a documentary on my own for the longest time now and this is just so inspiring & uplifting as a black creator
Cannot wait for this! I'm already imagining your doc in a double bill with Jenn Nkiru's Black To Techno (filmed by the legend Bradford Young if you haven't seen it) and cannot think of any other city that will have two such beautiful pieces about them.
Can't Wait. Keep it up!
I’m excited dude, I will be doing my first documentary soon as well so everything this past few months are aligning.
your videos already have a great documentary feel to me , I guess they are just youtube though. Looking forward to seeing how it turns out compared to what your making now. Goodluck bro
I love the vintage Nikkor AI and AI-s lenses. I've got the 28mm 2.8 AI-S and three different 50mm Nikkors. Great feel in those lenses. Cool to hear your plans and I'm looking forward to seeing your doc work.
Im super excited about this yo! I truly hope it's an amazing experience for you, but also pays some dividends and pops off of these social platforms. You deserve it!
Respect for showing something cool like bike life! Would love to hear your opinion and others on take overs vs bike life in your doc.
I'm excited and ready to see what you create brother!
Hey, Vuh! So excited for you! Could you go through your color grading workflow on such a project? Would be very interesting for me
Cant wait to see the doc!! That opening Micky D’s shot WAS dope! Beautiful work, as usual 💥

That outro music making me think you're about to film Detroit's Navy fighter pilot culture
Looking forward to see the documentary 🎉
I missed those early photos, master of natural light, and capturing the real culture, vibe of your neighberhood with an incredible brutaly honest and artistic eye. That what caught me on your channel man ! Super interested to see your documentary, the story that you will tell. And of course how your "look" will transfer from MF Photography to S35. Are promist times over ;) ?

Hey vuhlandes ,I started watching your videos recently and I loved it.Thanks a lot brother you really helped me a lot . Lots of love from India 🇮🇳❤
Incredible
Excited to follow along!
Man, your colors and angles are great, man. Do you have a video on color grading, and do you use the final cut or not?
I dont know if you have in the past but can you go over how you render out your footage in this 1 by 1 or 4:3 aspect ratio? Really adds to the overall feel of your vids.
Vuhlandes, i appreciated your tips videos, I'm not a filmmaker just a youtuber but curious; my husband however, is a indie filmmaker he left six figure work to make his first film.. Its called Genesis Paradise Lost by Gods providence it was in theaters & the first ever 3D documentary 2018 & he is working on another meant for theaters in 2024; we lived in his office with a toaster oven & hot plate & they fundraised to get it to theaters and it has saved lives literally. :)) God bless hope u get to catch it

Never wait for people or opportunity to come on your way, Yes its possible to make it by your self. I made a feature film by myself with 10 yrs old camera the canon c100 mark 2, Trailer in my channel and the movie is in festivals. 💪🏽 💪🏽 💪🏽 Can't wait to watch your documentary keep moving!
Very nice shots boo keep up the great work
Salute Bro and thanks for sharing 👊🏽💪🏽💯
This is dope, hope it goes well!
Excellent work bro! Do you have to do a lot of post editing as far as noise in the shadows? I have the A7s3 I find myself having to apple Neat video in order for smooth/milky shadows. Is that your experience?
Pure motivation for work

You re the greatest, man
Another amazing video! Can't wait to see the documentary
Bro! What are those sunglasses? So dope!
We love vuhlandes
Did you use your own LUT's on this video? Which camera profile did you use? SLOG 3?
I myself am about to pickup a BMPCC 6k pro, and am trying to figure out an initial lens to start off with that is affordable. Do you have any recommendations?
Love the videos. Keep it up!
Best of luck with the project! One tip: not sure if you are shooting auto white balance but this video kept changing white balance from clip to clip and it's jarring. I would lock down the white balance to one setting or temperature and if it's a little bit off you can always fix it in post. But if the white balance keeps changing on you as you're filming it's going to be an absolute nightmare in the edit to get everything to match.
That wasn’t the white balance.
@@vuhlandes ah ok then I take that part back haha
I'm proud of you
Workin on my first doc too Vuh🙏🏽
Godspeed ✊✨
What camera and lens do you use for your videos? They look amazing!
