- Something a little different today as I'm fed up of living off horrendous theme park food every week so I thought I'd try the Simmer Eats meal delivery service which has rave reviews and celebrity endorsement.

I needed this video, hardly any real reviews of this just sponsored stuff
Exactly why I did it and well… turns out there’s a reason why now 🤣😂
Same!! Saved me £70
@@rm9758 I’m glad it helped!
Enjoyed this change of pace and always love seeing new video types. The only ones I've enjoyed like this box are the more expensive restaurants ones you have to cook yourself. The yfood drinks are nice though.
Always like switching it up now and again!
Thank you. Was tempted to try but, after this, not bothering.
No worries
Thanks for the honesty. I did think they would struggle with quality as they increased their production numbers drastically. Hopefully they see this and improve. Their marketing is next level
Their marketing is great but you’re right the quality doesn’t feel ‘homemade’ as advertised anymore
Marks and Spencer convenience food is honestly the answer shaun!
Is it processed though?
@@LiftHillsandThrills Marks & Spencer has the highest food standards of any UK supermarket. All meals use free range eggs and higher welfare meat, also M&S was not implicated in the recent Salad ecoli or the horse meat scandal because they are obsessive about their food traceability. M&S were the first in the UK to stop using any trans fats in any of their food. The quality and taste is excellent, can highly reccomend their Italian, Thai and Gastropub ranges.
@@LLLLLLLLLucas Still processed microwave meals though aren’t they? I need a good healthy option, I’ll definitely check them out though!
@@LiftHillsandThrillsDon’t laugh but Slimming World’s ready meals in Iceland are really good. No preservatives or flavourings, big portions and most are really tasty. I’ve been impressed.
When the video first started I was saying to my husband "these might be a good idea for you" 😂😂 then we watched the rest
😂😂😂
I'm on my first week of Simmer. It's ideal for me as I don't have a lot of time to cook and I end up getting too many takeaways. So I actually save money and my calorie intake is a lot lower.
The salt content does seem high on some meals but overall its decent and fills a hole. A couple of the dishes I have been impressed with the flavour and some are just okay, it is a mixed bag.
I would recommend it if you're lazy or don't have a lot of time to cook and simply looking to lower your calorie intake. Don't get it if you're fussy or hard to impress
I eat just about anything and everything but found this service to be very poor in terms of meal quality with many microwave meals out performing it in terms of flavour and portion size.
Theres many meal prep services out there more affordable and improved Vs Simmer but I really did have some bad meals but I imagine they’re not all terrible, Butter Chicken was great 🤤 they need more like that
Could you give some recommendations on other meal prep services/ better ready meals from supermarkets? Thanks@@LiftHillsandThrills
That looks right up my alley as you don’t have prep and cook your own meals like Gousto and Hello Fresh
There’s plenty of others out there… but all means try it but If it was anything like mine was you’re gonna be gutted aha
Saved me 50 quid cheers
My pleasure!
Even worse than Aramark food! Wow!. I do get Hello Fresh (only when its like 60% off a box though), and that's lovely. Takes a little more preparation but tastes very good. I like that you are vlogging stuff other than theme parks too. Congrats on the 20k subscribers too mate.
Cheers mate, I’m just plugging the gaps a little and trying out a few things but it’ll always come back to parks!
Genuine review, genuine lad keep up the good vids mate 😎
Nice one mate! I try! Despite some right muppets out there 😂
Who needs sponsors when you have 20k 🎉🎉🎉 well done
Nice one Carl, 80,000 more legends to go!
I was about to try them and you’ve made me see sense . Thanks pal 👍
No worries, I mean everyone has different tastes but for me, absolutely not..
The search continues for ANYTHING to eat to avoid god awful theme park food
Thx for making this, appreciated.
No worries Josh
I checked out their website (I'm disabled and sometimes these kind of meals are what I need to help me eat for a week) and you can't see the meals they offer until you've already signed up which immediately put me off. I don't want to give a company my email address and address if they're not going to show me the options first, odds are I won't find enough to make up an order and then they're gonna harass me all the time!
I was able to see the food on offer before signing up, there's a section on the website of what meals there are etc
Panchos is elite! But great honest reviews !!
Panchos is GOD TIER!
I can certainly recommend simply cook
I’ll make a note!
I know someone who had that burrito and was disappointed. Generally M&S ready meals are the best I’ve had but I usually shop at Aldi.
I just need to find ANYTHING to stop me spending money on trash at our UK parks… 😩
@@LiftHillsandThrills Simmer isn’t cheap, £45 for six meals. You could get 3 for £9 and a lot of options below £5 a meal at M&S.
@@Stuntman707 It's more the freshly cooked food angle Simmer go for as opposed to processed crap but... I have to be honest... most of these tasted worse than most microwave meals I've had....
I always thought Green Chef was quite good. I partly stopped because i wanted to save money but if it suits a budget its pretty good and a nice healthy break from theme park food.
I'll look into it!
I had the same experience as you with Simmer. Got sold by their marketing and their food looked good but it was incredibly salty and the flavour was horrid on most meals. The absolute worst for me was that Korean Mac n cheese and the burrito! My god 🤢. However the butter chicken was their best but it tasted more like a tikka masala than butter chicken. Cancelled my subscription after week 1, far better ready meals in Tesco/Sainsbury’s! There is no substitution for making your own healthy meals. I rather spend the time than eat this crap.
I agree it did taste more like Tikka and ready meals are wayyy nicer with much less of that overpowering salt taste
Try gousto my brother and sister on law has it. Some rather nice meals xx
Noted!
You just saved me some money thank you 😊
My pleasure! That's the second comment like that I've had today, I need a donations button hahah enjoy the rest of your day!
Cool ❤
😊
I like the idea. Shame the food itself doesn't live up!
😂😂😂 right?!
Thanks for the honest review won’t be ordering
My pleasure
Most disgusting food I ever tested
Not great eh
Think prep kitchen is the best
I’ve never tried that yknow James!
Your a good rollercoaster enthusiast
I’m really not one of those. Theming / attractions fan… I’ll take that 😂
@@LiftHillsandThrills oh you seem like a rollercoaster enthusiast
Everything is better than theme park food
Clearly not 😂
Not the greatest 😂😂
I’d rather eat Aramarks finest trash
