We have tried, probably 45 or so, different meals. We have enjoyed them all, no bummers. There are no leftovers and no wasted food. However there is A LOT of packaging.
You need that for delivery purposes and its recycled and can be recycled...Stop whinging
@@bear_chills What is whinging?
@@nunyabidnis5407 basically moaning and complaining
I agree, first thing I noticed in this video, even though the outer packaging is paper, everything is individually packaged, that's mad. When I try to avoid packaging that doesn't work too well, I'm better off with veggie delivery services that deliver in one cardboard box, then a meat one same system. The spices you can get easily once you get used to what you need.
We have been using hello fresh in the U.S. for about 1 year now and it’s great! It has improved my cooking skills and the meals are pretty good. I will say that the prep time does take awhile. A bit longer than what hello fresh says.
Great to hear!
Thank you for that sweetie. I've just ordered Halo Fresh Box but wanted to know what exactly I would get. Looks good from what you have delivered in your video 😊🙏
You're welcome - I've reviewed other types of Hello Fresh boxes on this channel too, so be sure to check those out!
Meal kit delivery are life saving in a food desert.
I've been trying several boxed meals before and it's been interesting knowing how to cook new food items , fresh vegetables and spices and learning techniques, incredibly low cost and having great ingredients quality so far ! People who think it's expensive come to our place and see how expensive food is getting in rural Canada ... 79$ per week ( HelloFresh) is nothing when we usually spend 450$ per week. It's life saving, convenient, amusing & you can keep the recipes to make them later 😄🙌🏼 Very excited to start another journey 🍔
Glad you're enjoying it - we love it!
One of the best reviews on Hello Fresh on UA-cam! Well done! Ordering more!
Glad you enjoyed it - I'm taking on Hello Fresh's vegetarian range next week, so subscribe for that!
Me and the other have have just moved in, he can’t cook to save his life and I’m always too tired after work and always turn to “beige dinners”
THIS has convinced me to try!
I always thought it would be overly expensive but our weekly shop is probably more 🧐

I have been using Hello Fresh for a while now. I wouldn't say it was expensive though, £45 a week is reasonable for 2 people and take into account your supermarket shopping bill will fall quite drastically. I also like that it is easy to pause weeks when you are on holiday, change delivery dates easy, easily change the plan size, and the meals always taste good and the ingredients are always fresh, and the convenience is great while also trying new meals each week. I did try just buying the ingredients myself, but inevitably I just end up with the same meals and wasting more food because most things you buy in the supermarket are for 4+ people. Most the meals take 20 to 45 mins, so not a huge hassle after a day at work.
The only downside is, in about the year I have used Hello Fresh, there have been a couple of times they missed ingredients, but that is rare and a couple of times a courgette has been broken. Sometimes the recipe sheets are missing, but they are also available on the website and the Hello Fresh apps. Just as an aside, I find it pretty silly that reviews have to be labelled as "honest" now, surely all reviews should be objective and honest, although I guess when reviewers are sent free stuff then it becomes harder to remain subjective and honest.
Thanks for your feedback - great to hear of people’s wider experience of using Hello Fresh. But important to note that I was NOT gifted this box and paid full price for it - my review was totally impartial and honest, hence why it was labelled as such.
Would it not be easier to buy your own ingredients tho ?
@@proofalleyeson4889 easier, better for the environment and cheaper. Buy in bulk cook for a few meals, chill or freeze.
Buying your own requires extra effort. For this...you choose the meals and the ingredients are delivered. Simple.
I have a freezer the size of a bedside drawer. Would love to batch cook but I don't have the space. This is convenient which is why I use it.
I enjoyed the chopping up and cooking tbh...found it relaxing lol
I'm glad!
Very good review. Good personality n humour helped.. thinking of setting up a go fund me to try this and before people larf hard lol I've just moved into a new place due to health reasons and literally have started with nothing but a duvet and some kitchen ware but your video diary review has been really really impressive. Thanks for that. Happy days and well done
Thank you :)
@@FromTheAsh no. Thankyou... I'm still using them after watching your reviews. Excellent. They should give you a tip for every customer you bring to them lol. Godbless
Such a clear and funny review! You’ve sold me on getting the kit!
Yay! Thank you!
All looks good, enjoyed this video, you can cut the meat cooking times down too if you use an air fryer.
Good tip! Thanks 👍
I signed up with Blue Apron, Hello Fresh, Home Chef and now Marley Spoon. I rotate based on what looks good for the week. I like Hello Fresh the best. It doesn't look like much in the box but it does fill you up. I like that you get just what you need for the meal. You could add extra protein( like another chicken breast etc if you felt portion too small) Nice variety of flavors too
Thanks for watching - part two coming next week!
Love this thank you for sharing
You are so welcome!
I love mashed potatoes but you have to make them correctly. Always use butter, milk, salt and pepper and I always use a hand or stand mixer to make sure I get it very smooth
Thanks for the tips!
the thumbs up after putting the walnuts on, cracked me up lol
:)
Well done on a great review ash
Thanks a ton!
I like u were able to fit 3 foods in 11mins lol
Nice Review! I'll get a box as well.
If you do try, sign up via the link in my video description and you'll get a hefty discount! Enjoy!
I love the idea that you don’t have to buy a whole bottle of stuff you’ll only use once like rice wine
Genius isn't it!
It's helped me alot with my overall cooking skills after not knowing how to cook.
I agree, really good for this!
Wait 🥸🤯🤣🤣 the HEAT on card meaning is actually how 🥵 hot the meal is that lets you know if the spices are crazy Thai /curry Indian madnes and I’m myself are a person who don’t like heat also can’t eat them because of my gastro issues so the best tip is when you have a spicy recipe just use tiny amounts of spice i normally not use more than half sometimes even half of half and the meal doesn’t fell hot at all and I can enjoy them :)
Good tip!
Love your reviews
I appreciate that!
I use hello fresh and have for about a year. I find sometimes ingredients don’t get included when it says they have, and sometimes you get a completely different meal kit. I also find that they put broccoli and green beans in almost every meal and very rarely put things like carrot or cabbage in.
Thanks for sharing! I tried Gousto last week too - ua-cam.com/video/3KAiygKbI1I/v-deo.html
Brilliant video 🤙🏼
Thank you 🙌
I also eat this 5x per week. If i have to think about what i cook for the week, i just can´t do it and always go back to the same meals. So this helps me eat more different things, some i even have recreated again myself, and i feel i also eat healthier now. Because i have a good meal, i don´t feel the need to snack in the evening. I am trying out 2 different boxes the coming weeks, will see which one will be the winner;p Hello Fresh i have had for a couple months now.
Hi,
An adult usually eats 2 meals per day. If I chose the options 1 person 5 meals a week will they cover the 14 meals I need? Thank you
No - it'll send you literally just 5 evening meals. Hope this helps.
What type of box did you choose? Meat and veg, quick cook or family - great review!
Meat & Veg, 5 meals, 2 people!
Came for the review, subscribed for the classic vlog channel. Refreshing! :)
Awesome! Thank you!
Likewise 🙌
Did you once manage a paper factory in Slough?
The penny's dropped. Guilty.
@@FromTheAsh Well do your Flashdance fused with MCHammer shit in your next video
Nah there's no beat is there
Hey dude you look abit like Elvis with a beard - that is a compliment by the way 😊❤
I’ll take that 👍
Great review, we’re going to give it a go, thank you 👍
Glad you enjoyed, hope it goes well!
Haha, I understood poison chicken instead of Hoisin Chicken 🤣 and was a bit worried shortly 🤪
Oh wow! Guess you've improved your cooking skills alot in 2020, didn't you?!
We tried hello fresh for a few weeks in beginning of our Switzerland Corona lockdown too. Your packaging in the UK looks quite a bit different than what it looks here. They don't do numbered packages here 🙄 you have to figure out by yourself which ingredient belongs to which recipe, I guess it is probably less waste this way. Anyway personally I still think despite they look at ecofriendly packaging it's quite a lot of waste you get delivered. I really loved the different recipies though. Gives you new ideas. Kept those recipes to make the ones we like another time on our own.
Will you cook one of the recipes you tried again?
Very helpful video 😌
Glad it was helpful!
I tend to make to much food if I cook my own recipes…but hubby and I end up eating the lot 😂
I feel your pain!
Great review!👍🏾
Thank you!
Hello fellow creator well done this video is excellent and very informative.
Thank you!
I was thinking of it but when I went to order they don't do it for 1 person least they do is 2 so not gone bother
I'm thinking to freeze the extra portion..?
Yes freeze extra, that is what a friend of mine has started doing.
They have this £4.99 offer for 3 meals for 2 people. Is it worth to try this out or are you stuck in a plan and need to pay £ 45 the next month ?
You don't have to stay in - I have cancelled previously & it's easy enough to do via the live chat.
@@FromTheAsh hey thanks so much for the very quick reply 😊
Cheers bro!
No problem 👍
“No leftovers” seems like a negative rather than positive and very much seems like a benefit to the company not the customer
I’m seeing this as a positive - it means they give the correct amount. Leftovers means the meal was too big, and may therefore end up being wasted.
@@FromTheAsh More food does not equate to wastage unless there’s an outrageous amount of fresh ingredients that don’t last long. Having leftovers is generally considered a good thing because you have more food to eat later and considering the price of this service compared to doing a full shop that will provide you with more meals, last longer and cost less. Another important thing to consider is the current cost of living crisis in the country - the idea of ‘no leftovers’ seems out of touch with the struggles of mainstream society.
When I got the first one I pretended it was a mystery box 📦😂
Love it!
Is a hellofresh week 5 days or 7 days?
5 days 👍
Which choice did you choose? Family friendly?
This one was a mix, however I did do family friendly in my latest video! Check it out there 👍
Morrisons Asda aldi all do fresh stuff
So do Hello Fresh. Variety is the spice of life.
DOES IT COME WITH ACCESORYS ?
Not sure what you mean?
Useful. I was with you all the way until you bit into the burger upside down. Now I think you might be a danger to society. But we’ve ordered some Hello Fresh with 65 per cent off through a Cineworld offer. Thanks!
Literally bit into a burger upside down the other day and thought of this comment, made me laugh!
You are soooo funny 😁 I’m laughing at everything.
Thanks Karina!
Just me in shock at the way he uses his fork
Thanks for watching and I’m sorry to shock you (hoping you recover) but you’re a little late with that observation...ua-cam.com/video/O2YkFbP7GP0/v-deo.html
A bit late to change it now - I'm 3 decades in! Don't fret, the food all goes down the same way!
I got a box of mold
Any food attached?
I really enjoyed this video
I'm so glad!
Is it one meal per day? No breakfast or lunch? To eat once a day would be really hard for me. I eat alot. This looks so yummy tho. So then is it one bag per day? And then 7 bags per week in one box. How much was that please and thank you
No it’s five meals a week.
Thanks Lee - yes the box gives you 5 evening meals, then you just have your breakfast and lunch as you normally would :)
Looks fun
Well worth a go - there's now a discount code in the description if you want to give it a try!
Forgot the olives
4:08.
@@FromTheAsh oh I see, I thought the olives went on top of the food
Is it a diet or is it healthy eating?
It is neither. It is a meal delivery service to encourage people to cook their own meals at home around a busy schedule. It cuts out the need for shopping and encourages a more varied diet. It's purely for convenience and waste reduction :)
Nice smile
Today is our first day on it, fuck that I’m going McDonald’s,
Can't beat a good Mackie Ds!
I eat leafs
Good for you!
Am new here nice Content
Thanks and welcome!
He has a striking resemblance to Ryan Reynolds.
He'll take that! :)
Nice video, you made me laugh. But "H" is pronounced "aitch" not "haitch" ;-)
Glad you enjoyed the video. Also thank you for the correction - that's easily my favourite so far! 'Appy days!
It's a regional pronunciation.
Sorry but this is food for idiots who can't be bothered to shop and cook like normal people - how can this possibly be environmentally friendly. Amazing how every single comment here is totally positive haha - I smell a rat, hopefully not in the food.
I'd say don't knock it until you've tried it Dennis. It's convenient, tastes genuinely good, and even non-idiots like you and me can enjoy it. Thanks for your view and comment, although I have no idea why you watched as it seems like you'd made up your mind about this already.
So third grade of you. Hopefully you will grow out of the name calling and be a big boy soon.
