No rock in the footings, not on the side of a mountain, plenty of parking, in town... who are you and what have you done with the real Perkins crew?! haha love the new project kicking off!
haha... i know its pretty weird! but im not going to say i dont like it!
Probably the best Ryan’s ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxGZedDTcDfgD7fG_uU4esfx_EgxzlY2_1 Plans on building a shed is hardly ever found. And Ryan takes the mystery out of different types of foundation options, etc. He even shows how to build a shed with different designs. Very comprehensive, covering different roofing materials, siding, etc.
Probably not recommended but I bet it would work. Just for lights and light power tools here and there.
Try using a watering can when marking the dig lines, it’s easier on your back.
I don’t know a damn thing about construction but it’s always interesting to watch these builds. Thanks!
Make sure that marriage wall is stout and soundproof....nothing worse than sharing your life with your connected neighbor and vice versa....keep up the great work!
haha!!! yes we will try to make it quiet!
Wish I could watch a Perkins episode every day! 🎉
Good Luck on new project
Happy Thursday y’all
the mic's are a nice touch! a little more organic conversation
I haven't even seen the video yet but I know it's gonna be a good one!!!
Pro notch cut on that tree, people usually do it in the opposite order and screw it up. Nice job
I just finished building a duplex. Like two months ago and just sold it two weeks ago. good luck on this build.
Excited to start this new project with you all.
Excited for another build!
"thats what I JUST said" .... haha, siblings are the same no matter who they are 😄
I love the sound of chainsaws in the morning. Nice project once again. Some folks use white sand to mark out the foundation area.
The old poison ivy trick nice one crack on
Yeessss, finally a new build.
Hi from Australia. My Dad was a builder and always paid great attention to detail. He would have enjoyed watching you guys work. Keep the builds coming.
thanks Lisa! our Dad was also extremely meticulous as a builder... which was probably a good thing!
The addition of the mics is so cool haha
Just watched a TikTok of a dog enthusiastically watching a video of you guys building a house!?! The dog was clued to the screen. It was posted by mimihale. The fact that I recognized you guys in the short clip is a testament that I have watched way too many of your videos. Gawd I need a life.
The fun starts again!
Awesome. Can’t wait for more episodes…. But how about Perkins tool belt giveaway? 😜
You guys never do cheap. You only ever do inexpensive. 🙌
Yes…!
It is good to see you all on a new build. Greetings from London UK.
Sweet!! A new build!!!
oh yeah.... plenty more to come!
@@PerkinsBuilderBrothers been following forever!!
You guys major in building site accuracy. Seriously, to make the building square takes patience and precision. I got a good idea from your video. Using long handles nippers to cut tree roots.
Yay y'all get to do a fire wall. Hate em.
Hey Guys!! Yippie, new build time!! KUTGW
You’re getting so damn good at editing these videos. It feels so professionally made compared to some of youre earlier projects. And Jaime is becoming so funny 😂😂 😊Keep up the great work!
Enjoyed your first segment.I scooted down to the store and picked up a case of popcorn..Safe building to you guys!!
Looking forward to the new series
thanks tim!
I wanted to let you know that even though I've followed you for the past couple of months, I just joined as a silver speed square. Looking forward to more great videos.
that’s cherry baby!
Yeah you've been so excited for a new house
Hey thanks!!! so glad to be back to "building" instead of finish work
Yay ~ new series! Wait - Ima gonna get me a cup of cawfee...
Affordable housing - gets my vote! So is the building going to be divided into 4 apartments (2 to a floor) or two (one up one down)? I guess I could wait and see for myself. thanks again guys for taking us along on the ride, I've come to like watching you guys more than ever. [Roger]
This is my 4th building series I’ve watched with you guys. Every time you upload I get really excited. It’s so cool to watch along the entire process as well as seeing how you guys interact as a crew. I’m pumped to see how this one turns out!
I just started watching your videos. With the farm house, Natahala, and the modern house, your videos are getting better and better. Thanks for making great content.
My grandson (age 9) was so impressed he wants to work for your company when he gets older , great job, great inspiration, keep up the great work guys
So good to see a new project, by my favourite UA-cam builder brothers, and the A-Team. I helped a builder friend dig footings in an addition to a 200 year old house in Maidenhead, UK. The footings had to be 3 feet deep and 2 feet across, easy so I thought. The length was 36 feet and the ground was wet as it was raining on and off. The top 6 inches was just normal dirt, but then it was thick clay, which stuck to the shovels making it very tiring. We got there in the end, but arms, legs and back took a hammering. Looking forward to part 2, thanks for posting.
A new project, that's great! The new mics are helpful!
I am so excited for this! Two more videos, and I will have watched every episode of every building series that you’ve made. I love the way you guys show everything from start to finish. My favorite building channel by far!
Steve O from Jackass I bet would also like that toilet. Looking forward to another one of your builds guys!. Cheers, William
Without the building, it looks really small. I guess I will have to keep watching! 😂
Owesome new built, looking forward to it.
Have a great day.
Rob for the Netherlands.
BTW, I'm building an extention to my house next month. Learned some great tips from you.
Look forward to these videos great content. Looks like an easy level site.
i love new projects. a fresh start. cant wait to see how this goes
Great work
Thank you! Cheers!
And so we begin again...😂💪...greetings from Cost Rica! 😉👍
Cheers from North Carolina
Spencer logging tape to the rear end. I’ve been there
Fantastic to be aboard again from the UK looks like a cool plot. Good dig out to prepare the ground works UK
Glad you enjoyed it
So pumped for new series!
Love watching these guys. 👍👍👍
Hey thanks Albert!
Jamie’s favorite porta potty. Probably has his graffiti “Jamie was here” lol. Looking forward to this new build.
Ha!
Wow! New project! I'm already watching it!
Yessss!! New Perkins project LETS GOOOO 🎉🤘🏻
Another learning experience.Razorback Ray!
We lost tonight 😢
Hey gang, I’m excited to check out the new build. Thanks!!!
Hey, thanks Dan
In Texas, its a lot easier to just do all your 811 stuff online, and they email you confirmation.
This is my favorite show on television. Not this current build, just your channel. HGTV has moved to UA-cam and I’m here for it. Looong time watcher and I have favorite characters, but I’m not telling. ;)
Hey that is for the kind comments..:)
Idk anything about construction but you guys are super fun and now I have a weird set of random knowledge about building a house that I probably won't ever use 😅
G,day Perkins Bros, Arlo, Ray and Jay from Sydney Australia.
Thank you for the building outline setout, especially the Lazer level.
🌏🇭🇲
As a home baker, I'm incensed!! (😁) that you are using perfectly good baking flour! lol Think of all the cookies and cakes that could've been! Seriously though, I like it. It's less toxic than spray paint on the ground.
I like the way you guys get to decide the position of the house before you build it. Here in the UK the planning people pretty much dictate the position of the house long before building even starts. Build it half a foot of what planning says and they could make you knock it down and start again.
Nice. I'm very excited about this new project since I haven't seen you build a duplex before.
I hope am the 50th subscriber to leave a comment. 😅
Duplex algorithms begin
Jamie is a subtle comedian. 😆
With all his dad jokes?!
My HS Class just had its 45th Reunion. I couldn't be there, cause I'm in a different country and my wife, of 41 1/2 years, has been fighting Cancer since Dec 2021. They sent photos ❤😂❤!!! I guess what I'm trying to say is, You Inspire Me. Thank You...
Great a new house build! Love the way you guy's let us see what is going on with your builds. You can't
have fun unless you do your job well.
Another awesome build on the way. Looking forward to enjoy every moment of this build.
So I have a random question, I’ve watched the past 5 house build series and I noticed there’s never a garage?? I’m just curious to why that is? Customers preference, cost? Thanks, love the work you guys do!
great question... sometimes there isnt enough room for a garage; sometimes its because its just a vacation home; and sometimes its because of cost. I would want a garage bigger than my house personally!
@@PerkinsBuilderBrothers thanks for the reply!
I like garages….
Couple of them were Airbnbs. Not worth the extra cost it cuts into profit.
@@cullery07 yea I was thinking about the houses for clients. But I didn’t think about the fact they might be vacation homes or the fact that there on the side of a mountain and I’m sure buildable space is a premium
Inexpensive, not cheap!!!! Love watching your videos!
It’s always a pleasure to watch your videos. Keep on your good work guys.
Thanks Jonathan!
Watching from NC
Another one!
Starting your video with a telephone ring made me think I had an incoming call! Laughs on me!😂
This is the series I have been waiting for!
I used to live in Boone NC from Bryson city NC and it takes 2hrs and 51 minutes. Never worked in Bryson city but did a lot of construction in Grand Father mountain, Sugar mountain, Seven Devil's and Newland NC. I really enjoy watching you guys and finding quicker ways of building houses. Thank you guys for your expertise
Thanks Martin… I like visiting Boone as well! We went up to Beech Mountain, and did some mountain biking in the fall.
I saw your story, and couldn’t notice that somehow I was able to watch this last night. I guess I’ll consider it a treat.
I’m a new general contractor in Arkansas, and look up to you guys a lot. God bless you guys and can’t wait to see your new series! Keep up the good content!
Arkansas!
@@RayJones-PBB is this THE RAY Jones from PBB? Glad to see an Arkansas boy representing the crew!
Looking good boys I like it stay safe see you next time tx 💪💪👍❤️❤️🦘🇦🇺😀
thanks Jess... we are still alive and kicking!!!!
Love the channel. Excited to see another build.
I would love for these guys to build my house! I'm a software engineer, I have no idea why I'm obsessed with this channel but I love it! Keep it up guys.
Watching from the Dominican Republic. I am a Dominican civil engineer who builds costume houses for a living, and I love your show! Nothing better thatn coming home from the jobsite to enjoy some well deserved rest, and watch your videos. :)
just really glad to see you’ve got some room this time to maneuver in the Kubota, instead of hanging off the side of a mountain with it.
as always, a real treat to watch y’all in action!
I can’t wait until we build ours, we want to build affordable too and do it our selves
a bunch of years ago I was a duplex owner (and resident for awhile ). If I were involved in building one now, I would build a utility space between the two units to allow access to the water heaters, HVAC, and breaker panels for both units without having to enter the living space of either. It would not have to be huge, maybe three feet wide. This would also work as a sound barrier so that the landlord does not get numerous calls from one tenant complaining about the other tenant making too much noise. Yes, it might drive up the initial cost a bit, but it would make maintenance so much smoother over the life of the duplex for everyone.
👍 good job as usual. Thx
I’ve been watching you guys for the past couple years. Every video is a must watch. Keep it up.
I have family who work as teachers. They're criminally underpaid. Thank you for doing this project for them.
I work at a school. They start at over 50k with a BS. The school pays for Master, PHD, principals certificates, etc. And after 10 yrs service their school loans for BS are forgiven. They drive Audis, Lexus', Land Rovers, BMWs. Let's not forget the vacations to the Islands during their 11 week summer break. We have teachers with a master's and 10yrs experience making almost 100k. Doesn't sound too criminal0 to me.
Underpaid at 50k with half the year off 😂
@@chrisbarr1359 not in Swain County NC. Woefully underpaid and no money towards professional development. No pay raises for gaining additional credentials.
@@chrisbarr1359 In my opinion, teaching is the most important profession there is - done right it helps to set everyone up with the correct morals, tolerance, social skills and knowledge to become functioning adults and work together to advance humanity. 100k for 10yrs experience for the most important profession still doesn't sound enough to me given other industries would offer more. I think teaching should be a more competitive career choice to attract the best of the best, but I realise I am living in fantasy land!
Funniest comment ever, underpaid teachers lol.
You should try taking down a tree sometime using the "tongue and groove" method. There are several UA-cam videos demonstrating it.
ok... im going to have to look that one up
Love all your vids but nice to be back to your roots. Cheers Jase 👌😎🇦🇺🇦🇺
Thanks J-DAWG!
PLEASE keep uploading fast 😃
Pro tip: Next time you have a mini and plan on taking a tree out, dig out on sides before cutting and then push the tree in the direction of fall, the weight of the tree will pull the root ball out. Now, cut it up.
Was going to say exactly this. 👍
Andrew Camarata would be proud.
I actually don't know anything about this but I do watch a lot of "Letsdig18" video's AND I did stay at a Holiday Inn a while back......
This can work but you need to be extremely careful digging around a tree that’s still standing. Had a few moments in a excavator when your bucket slips off the trunk. Will scare the hebigeebees outa ya
Amazing work
Dang that’s so cool the relationship they have with all there subs like the delivery guy and especially the smothered burrito man (porta john) lol here in New Mexico we call them the smothered burrito man. I might of just ruined smothered burritos for everyone that reads this comment. I do the same thing with my burrito man. They have these new porta johns that i helped them build on small atv trailers. They’re air conditioned and have running water as well as a male cord connection for the AC, lighting, and on demand water heater. You just hook up a water hose to it, an electrical cord (minimum 8 gauge cord) fill her with water and your good to go. It has an RV style toilet and sink so when you flush it it opens to the waste tanks and closes up so the porta john does not smell one bit even when its been filled. My only issue with them is i couldn’t figure out how to install a small urinal to it but they do have plans to add them in the future. Usually they’re used for outdoor events like wedding, birthday parties or any other kind of event that needs a nice porta john. They have two dedicated for my job sites but they can use them for other events my guys take good care of them. I really need to a stop writing these long comments lol I’m just not good at summarizing.great work fellas.
Hi guys, so happy there is a new project. I watched it earlier with half an eye then my wotk got in the way. So nice to sit down and check this out. Also looking forward to seeing what Jaime is gonna do with his Cherry wood.
Cherry BABY!! thanks
@@PerkinsBuilderBrothers when you make something of that Cherry please show me. Love Cherry.
Nice👏👏👏
Woo Hoo, another build series! Can't wait!
Thanks Hansang!
