Nah we left them cause we were riding back the other way. We've heard people have, but check the track conditions on the other side cause it can get pretty bad after heavy rain. Such a beautiful area!
@@weridebikesplaces - Yeah, I have a couple of friends that did it and it looked hectic. One of em dropped his phone in the drink. 🤦♂️ My route takes me past the other side anyway, but I was thinking about doing the detour to go through the cave too just for the experience. We'll see, I guess! Cheers!
Laos is really hilly in the north, but not as much south of Vientiane. Yeah I think a beginner could probably do it, you would need to be able to ride about 60kms a day, in the heat. Thailand would be much more beginner friendly, as there are more places to stop for shade and cold drinks during the day, and more accommodation available
In Laos everyone seems very content with what that have, they are incredibly happy people. They were just happy to see us riding bicycles through and enjoying their country

Looks like the route is fairly flat, with not a lot of big hills?
@kasiapierzga8252 yeah, it's very flat, as is most of south east Asia. If you go further north, there are plenty of hills though
Oh I was scared it would be really Hilly/ mountainy routes but the seem flat! Do you think a beginner could also do it? :)
