    I love simple things like this with precise joints, when you get it right it's a great feeling ... these have turned out really well 👍
    I made a pentagram table over 30 years ago, but it was the full shape made with halving joints where the arms intersected .... dowels were used for the centre leg of the table, with other dowels curved in from the tips of the arms to the bottom of the base ... still have it today 😁

    Great tutorial, really well explained. The jig for cutting the small pieces on the mitre saw is perfect. Thanks for sharing the video

    May I double confirm that the angles are 45 degrees and 36 degrees respectively?
    The reason I am asking because I saw some people cut 72 degrees and 36 degress respectively. Which is different than what you told on the video.

      If you follow the whole process I show in my video you will get lovely stars

    Fantastic Stars for Christmas! Another decoration to make for my home! Really off topic, how do you keep your workshop heated? Do you use central heating or fan heater, oil filled radiator?

    • @CasualDIY
      @CasualDIY  9 місяців тому +2

      No heating at all. However next to my workshop I have two more rooms and one is housing two tanks one 250 and other 300 liters of hot water. I have a heat pump that heats those tanks. And they keep my whole garage warm. Plus its well insulated and even with -22 degrees outside in the garage never gets below 14 degrees.

      @@CasualDIY Wow, that is very interesting. I bought the insulation for the doors of my small workshop (2m (W) x 5m (L) x2m (H)) 2 years ago based on your video (How to insulate garage doors on a budget - DIY) several years ago. I have to say that having that kind of insulation does make a big difference - 3C outside and 11C inside without any heating. I thought about getting a fan heater or an oil filled radiator but haven't decided yet. Anyway, looking forward to seeing more of your Xmas decorations videos.

      @@johnpenman1548 In my old workshop in UK I had a fan radiator and it was OK but in a small workshop it was blowing dust everywhere so not the best solution. I think the oil filled radiator will be a better solution.

      @@CasualDIYMany thanks for the recommendation. I will certainly look at oil filled radiators before Christmas.

    Hi
    Great vid
    What is the mitre angle for the final set of cuts- when using the jig? I didn’t hear you mention it.
    Cheers

    May I ask if all angles are 45 degree?
