When the club has a massive unprecedented injury crisis, that nobody in the media ever really bothers about, and the players playing are inexperienced kids it is hardly surprising the results are all over the place. I remember when Liverpool were PL champions and VVD got injured. Every single week the media told us it was perfectly reasonable that Liverpool would struggle to make the top 4 without VVD. That’s one player from a team that had just won the league with 95+ points. Chelsea have lost a whole starting 11 of first team players for virtually the whole season. In this injury chaos Poch has turned Cole Palmer into a superstar and still has a decent shot at finishing 7th. He has performed miracles with these kids.

Mudryk should play as a number 10. It's his best position for him to perform well.

Mudyrick is not stable. He is not effective anywhere. After 2yrs in Chelsea he is still always running around the pitch. He can't even control the ball very well. His first touch always a mistake. We stuffed them at Villa Park in the Cup. It won’t be easy but we can get something out of this game again. You might remember Badiashile was terrific that day and we started playing faster at a point when Silva was slowing everything down too much in the Chelsea side leading up to that game. Different game, different time but who knows 🤷♂️

I have watched CFC for a long time. My observation is that in addition to all the issues mentioned in this video, Chelsea players look clearly confused from a tactical standpoint. There is a likelihood that there is too much unnecessary tinkering between matches that has made it almost impossible to develop a tactical identity under Pochetino. He looks confused and lost on what and where is the problem. Symptom? Gafer would just throw in new approaches between matches and just throws in substitutes when games are about to end, usually losing
