Looks like they've butchered the front a bit, the headlights look a bit off compared to the real thing and the front seems a bit too elongated (although there were longer and shorter versions of it). The 'insectoid' you mentioned is the air box.
I saw a review of this model from another channel and they tested out the rear suspensions. So they do work, not just the front 👌
