Let's say that a 3 pack of pens costs $5. You go through one pen per month. A team of paper contains 500 sheets and costs $6. Let's also say you write a lot and go through 250 sheets a month. That means that you are spending $28 every 6 months or $56 per year. Now lets say you can buy one of these tablets(with their respective pen) on sale for $250. Then it would only take you about 4.5 years to save up. Bruh wyd.

OneNote is excellent! Just make sure you change the default canvas to one that prints on regular paper. I ditched OneNote for Xournalpp because I had trouble printing notes from OneNote on normal (letter sized) paper. I couldn't figure out how to activate a "what you write is how it will print" mode in OneNote, which is the default for Xournalpp. However, I miss the web syncing and all of the built-in features of OneNote. If you don't need to print your notes, OneNote is by far the best.
I know this is a joke but as a not so well organized person I found the digital note taking experience to be infinitely better. No more searching for scraps of paper for sudden calculations or notes, losing notes or time lost to looking for notebooks, or not finding them in time and having the notes for a few classes be dispersed over completely different notebooks, and no more pages cutting off paper space right in the middle of long equation. Also erasing is quicker and cleaner, you can easily draw perfect lines, you only need one pen for every thickness/color possible, and it's easier to write when you don't have a desk because a tablet is basically a clipboard too.
You missed one clear advantage that the Tab S6 lite has - Laminated display. Makes for a much smoother writing experience. Now only if it had a good app like Goodnotes.

I use samsung one. To add to eraser mode, if you hold the side button when you are writing, it will turn into eraser mode, so you can erase immediately.

I bought the Surface Go 2 M3 model a few months ago, and have been very pleased. At first I wasn't quite 100% sure about a Surface tablet rather than the other tablets on the market, but since purchasing the Surface Go 2 I have grown to love it even more with time. I love that it is a tablet yet is also a full laptop replacement with a full version of Windows 10.
From Computer Science perspective, the ability to use VSCode or some equivalent and run full python, C, R, MATLAB, atleast light programs is just what seals the deal. The clear choice for me is the Surface Go 2.
Yep its actualy pretty much a Laptop, its capable of anyhting a PC can do plus the being able to use it as a Surface Pad, you can' do some great Artwork with it.
I am somebody who prefers extra thin Nips for my normal writing pens. So I’m really comfortable with the S pen being thin. I feel it gives better precision and control for your hand writing 🤷♀️

Samsung tab s6 lite works for me ,If i have, cause I dont really play heavy games and put it on low settings If i had tab s6 lite I did just play games at high graphics because I have samsung tab s6 not the lite
IMO surface works best for my situation, I don’t need all the tablet features like the App and Apple store. I just want to be able to write an essay and play a little bit of Minecraft on the side. Windows has been my best friend since 2008. It’s hard to switch after so long.
An interesting note is that the Surface Pro 1 and Surface Pro 2 pens are also fully compatible with Samsung's S-pen, being capable of pressure variation as well as tilt in appropriate apps. The first 2 Surface Pro pens were based on the Wacom technolgy as are Samsung's S-pens, whereas from Surface Pro 3 onwards, Microsoft moved to N-Trig technology.
you actually don't need to charge any s pen. you only need to charge the tab s6 (normal) one and maybe others for bluetooth functions not for drawing or writing
Not if you are in University and need to clean write every 20 page homework. With digital notes you can just erase the bad parts. With pen and paper you need to rewrite the whole page. (No pencil use are allowed)

@@arpita6840 In my opinion the IPad is the best you can go with. I'm planning in buying one for school too and the note taking apps are just better and have more functions than on android devices. For example good notes oder notabilty aber pretty good note taking apps but are only available on Apple devices. And I really like the apple pencil and the feeling when you write with it. Even though I'm not a big fan of Apple I'm totally buying the IPad. And some friends use the IPad in school and I've used it after some hours too and it didn't seem to get warm fast and the battery is pretty good too if you charge it every night before school. The Spen has a side button which can be assign as an eraser or anithing you want (select tool, lasso tool, etc. ) depending the app you use to take note. I found the S6 Spen a bvit too thin, but you can put a silicone housing which will increase greatly the ergonomic of the Spen. The main problems of Apple products is : no memory expansion slot, and file system is a nioghtmare for user, and of course everything is overpriced. The Spen does not need any power to work with and it has a real button which comes very handy. For a student who'd like to take notes , the galaxy tab S6 lite is the way to go, best value so far. My main app to take notes is Squid note.
As a person who is currently attending a university (I'm a Ramblin' Wreck from Georgia Tech) and has been using digital devices to take notes for over 6 years (2 years at University), the Surface line is arguably the best. You can take notes with a Surface AND use it to run just about any of the programs the professors require for your classes, since ALL of those programs run on Windows. The iPad and an Android tablet, like the S6 Lite, will get you almost twice the battery life, but they are useless for anything outside of note taking or browsing web based homework sites. With a Surface Go or Surface Pro, you can take notes and almost fully replace your laptop. The only downside to the Surface is GPU intensive applications like SolidWorks and other CAD software, which won't run on an iPad or Android tablet at all. I bought a used Surface Pro 4 two years ago for taking notes at school and it has been a godsend.
Idk if it's on all the note apps but in the regular app on s6 lite you can press n hold the button on s pen to erase. Also there's a feature on that app that straightens lines and shapes as well
I do like the surface go but please do not buy the cheapest version. It may be good for note taking and all but if you want to do something else then this is very slow beccause of the processer.. either you have to buy the midrange version or the higher m3 version which is expensive.

You are very careful in your praise of each device, enumerating the good features of each, and carefully avoiding the use of absolutes, such as "the _____ is the best". You have researched each piece of hardware and its related software and given a truly unbiased viewpoint. Just a couple of additional pieces of information. The choice of one tablet over another is subjective, not objetive, as you stated at one point. I can't agree that the Surface pen is the most premium, just because it has an aluminium barrel. The metal body in my opiniom gives it a harsh ruggedness that is not conducive to comfortable writing. By the way, you did carry on a bit about the end of the Surface pen having an eraser function. You may see this as a positive, but frankly, I think it is a bit of a gimmick and a definite negative. Having to reverse the pen dozens of times during a writing or drawing session, can become immensely tedious. The S-pen performs the same erase function without disturbing work flow, by simply pressing the button as you write/draw to erase, and releasing it to continue drawing. Interestingly, many of the apps in Android give you the options of erasing whole strokes, erasng part of a stroke, and erasing the whole page. Despite these few items of dispute, your comparison video is an excellent one, honest and considerate of people's feelings. UA-cam is full of poorly prepared and often biased reviewers, who in their ignorance of a lroduct's true capability, can turn people away from what could be for them an excellent purchase. It's great to see a person with a sharp mind working in a crowded UA-cam space. Keep up the superb work, and your thoroghness and your fresh and friendly presentation will inevitably garner many more well-deserved subscriptions.

Samsung uses Wacom EMR technology, that's why the pen doesn't need a battery. Since EMR is an industry standard, there are a number of different (and more premium feeling) compatible pens by several different manufacturers, including Wacom of course, but also Staedler and Lamy for example.
DO READ BEFORE TAKING A DECISION. HEY GUYS! I have purchased Apples ipad 9.7 inch last year in November and my friend got a tab s6 lite recently. I borrowed it from HIM just to compare the both and here is what I found. ( Note - this is completely an unbiased review and based on true user experience) 1. Display - the Samsung tablet definitely has an edge here. It has thinner bezels than the ipad 9.7 inch and a better laminated display. Overall both have great colors but the Samsung tab is a tad better. 2. Battery - even though the Samsung tablet has a bigger battery , in my testing both had the same battery life with thr Samsung tab beating it some times. But both are GREAT to be honest. 3. Performance and multitasking - even though Samsung has a recent chipset as compared to IPAD . IT IS NO MATCH TO IPAD . IPAD IS VERY VERY VERY SMOOTH . It can play any game you throw at it . The same is not true with the Samsung tab. It is INCONSISTENT. LAGS SOMETIMES AND EVEN HAS SOME MAJOR FRAME DROPS. hence iPad is a clear winner here. OS / SOFTWARE : personally I think IOS is better here. Better privacy , the best UPDATES . I mean it is 3 years old from launch and has the latest ipad OS update. Hats off to that. But I don't think samsung will give any major updates after 6 months. So iPad is the clear winner. So if you ask me , iPad is way better of an investment than the Samsung tab. But if you want to use a tab just for a year or so like new and then switch or only use a tab for multimedia I think the Samsung tab is better. BUT THE IPAD IS A FUTURE PROOF option . Regards.
you missed to explain the spen feature as well. it can select text from anything with smart select > extract text. record a short vid as gif and attach it on a note. the glance feature. thats more than great for note taking
The advantage of surface go that you didnt mention is its running windows 10, you can open multiple notes on windows 10, so when you see another relevant note, or copy the content efficiently, or for manage your notes. For student it is the best value too, because it can open desktop microsoft office, have a good placement of camera for online meeting, and i think the kickstand also a good point
Samsung doesn't need a battery as it uses wacom tech to work. So, you don't have to worry about battery. Microsoft battery lasts about a year. Apple needs charging often. OneNote seems to work smooth on the tab S6 Lite and that's enough for me.
I really love surface go! Sold my ipad air to try to buy one! The kickstand and the fact that it has windows with the complete version of office amazes me! I'm in love with surface go 2!! Hello there!! As always I enjoyed this vid!! I always learn something new. I’m enjoying my IPad 10.2 inch. Yes, I know it’s the budget model but it does what I need it to do. It’s 128gig. With the stylus I found a knock off one on Amazon for 25 bucks and it works very well. I did order the IPad from Apple and they offered free engraving so I thought that was a nice touch. It’s very small, but nice lol. Thanx for this comparison video and as always I will check out more of your vids. I’ve been a subscriber since September. 😁👍

ive watched so many videos on tablets the past years or so , even typing on an ancient samsung galaxy tab 2 10.1, even if its really laggy, i just need a device to get the job done (video editing, script writing, good accuracy, and has enough storage so i could draw, still havent found that one that one good but cheap tablet cri)

This is a question about the tab s6 lite I couldn't find the answer for: can you use notability's key features in samsung notes? (The scissors tool to move around layers of what you write, importing lasso selected screen shots to annotate and shape corrections for shaky hands) If not, can you reccomend an app that offers those features and is similar to notability's note taking experience? I might be the only one but notability is the only reason I'm even looking into an ipad as a student..
"I saw my teacher in 8th grade using this", in reference to an iPad app. I now feel ancient. When I was in 8th grade, the 486 with windows 3.1 was the pinnacle of modern tech. My phone is a note 10+, tablet a 2018 iPad pro, laptop an Asus Predator. I use OneNote because it is so seamlessly cross platform.
I have had a variety of tablets trying to go paperless over the years from the blackberry playbook to windows tablets to samsung to lenovo and in my opinion, nothing beats the ipad for the handwritten digital notes experience. I have the 2018 ipad 9.7 and I do regret not doing a bit more research (as someone who has never had an apple device). I would have found it worth it to spring the extra $200 for the Air or even the 2017 Pro. Now I want to upgrade to a 2018 pro for the 2nd gen pencil 🥴

IMO surface works best for my situation, I don’t need all the tablet features like the App and Apple store. I just want to be able to write an essay and play a little bit of Minecraft on the side. Windows has been my best friend since 2008. It’s hard to switch after so long.

you actually don't need to charge any s pen. you only need to charge the tab s6 (normal) one and maybe others for bluetooth functions not for drawing or writing

@@arpita6840 In my opinion the IPad is the best you can go with. I'm planning in buying one for school too and the note taking apps are just better and have more functions than on android devices. For example good notes oder notabilty aber pretty good note taking apps but are only available on Apple devices. And I really like the apple pencil and the feeling when you write with it. Even though I'm not a big fan of Apple I'm totally buying the IPad. And some friends use the IPad in school and I've used it after some hours too and it didn't seem to get warm fast and the battery is pretty good too if you charge it every night before school. Hope this helped you
iPad is the best. Been using an air 3 for 2 years and I love it. Wish I got the 256gb model tho but not the 64gb
The Spen has a side button which can be assign as an eraser or anithing you want (select tool, lasso tool, etc. ) depending the app you use to take note. I found the S6 Spen a bvit too thin, but you can put a silicone housing which will increase greatly the ergonomic of the Spen.
The main problems of Apple products is : no memory expansion slot, and file system is a nioghtmare for user, and of course everything is overpriced.
The Spen does not need any power to work with and it has a real button which comes very handy.
For a student who'd like to take notes , the galaxy tab S6 lite is the way to go, best value so far.
My main app to take notes is Squid note.

As a person who is currently attending a university (I'm a Ramblin' Wreck from Georgia Tech) and has been using digital devices to take notes for over 6 years (2 years at University), the Surface line is arguably the best. You can take notes with a Surface AND use it to run just about any of the programs the professors require for your classes, since ALL of those programs run on Windows. The iPad and an Android tablet, like the S6 Lite, will get you almost twice the battery life, but they are useless for anything outside of note taking or browsing web based homework sites. With a Surface Go or Surface Pro, you can take notes and almost fully replace your laptop. The only downside to the Surface is GPU intensive applications like SolidWorks and other CAD software, which won't run on an iPad or Android tablet at all. I bought a used Surface Pro 4 two years ago for taking notes at school and it has been a godsend.
Idk if it's on all the note apps but in the regular app on s6 lite you can press n hold the button on s pen to erase.
Also there's a feature on that app that straightens lines and shapes as well

I do like the surface go but please do not buy the cheapest version. It may be good for note taking and all but if you want to do something else then this is very slow beccause of the processer.. either you have to buy the midrange version or the higher m3 version which is expensive.

You are very careful in your praise of each device, enumerating the good features of each, and carefully avoiding the use of absolutes, such as "the _____ is the best". You have researched each piece of hardware and its related software and given a truly unbiased viewpoint. Just a couple of additional pieces of information. The choice of one tablet over another is subjective, not objetive, as you stated at one point. I can't agree that the Surface pen is the most premium, just because it has an aluminium barrel. The metal body in my opiniom gives it a harsh ruggedness that is not conducive to comfortable writing. By the way, you did carry on a bit about the end of the Surface pen having an eraser function. You may see this as a positive, but frankly, I think it is a bit of a gimmick and a definite negative. Having to reverse the pen dozens of times during a writing or drawing session, can become immensely tedious. The S-pen performs the same erase function without disturbing work flow, by simply pressing the button as you write/draw to erase, and releasing it to continue drawing. Interestingly, many of the apps in Android give you the options of erasing whole strokes, erasng part of a stroke, and erasing the whole page.
Despite these few items of dispute, your comparison video is an excellent one, honest and considerate of people's feelings. UA-cam is full of poorly prepared and often biased reviewers, who in their ignorance of a lroduct's true capability, can turn people away from what could be for them an excellent purchase. It's great to see a person with a sharp mind working in a crowded UA-cam space. Keep up the superb work, and your thoroghness and your fresh and friendly presentation will inevitably garner many more well-deserved subscriptions.

Samsung uses Wacom EMR technology, that's why the pen doesn't need a battery. Since EMR is an industry standard, there are a number of different (and more premium feeling) compatible pens by several different manufacturers, including Wacom of course, but also Staedler and Lamy for example.
But you should charge it also 😅

I have purchased Apples ipad 9.7 inch last year in November and my friend got a tab s6 lite recently. I borrowed it from HIM just to compare the both and here is what I found. ( Note - this is completely an unbiased review and based on true user experience)
1. Display - the Samsung tablet definitely has an edge here. It has thinner bezels than the ipad 9.7 inch and a better laminated display. Overall both have great colors but the Samsung tab is a tad better.
2. Battery - even though the Samsung tablet has a bigger battery , in my testing both had the same battery life with thr Samsung tab beating it some times. But both are GREAT to be honest.
3. Performance and multitasking - even though Samsung has a recent chipset as compared to IPAD . IT IS NO MATCH TO IPAD . IPAD IS VERY VERY VERY SMOOTH . It can play any game you throw at it . The same is not true with the Samsung tab. It is INCONSISTENT. LAGS SOMETIMES AND EVEN HAS SOME MAJOR FRAME DROPS. hence iPad is a clear winner here.
OS / SOFTWARE : personally I think IOS is better here. Better privacy , the best UPDATES . I mean it is 3 years old from launch and has the latest ipad OS update. Hats off to that. But I don't think samsung will give any major updates after 6 months. So iPad is the clear winner.
So if you ask me , iPad is way better of an investment than the Samsung tab.
But if you want to use a tab just for a year or so like new and then switch or only use a tab for multimedia I think the Samsung tab is better.
BUT THE IPAD IS A FUTURE PROOF option .

you missed to explain the spen feature as well. it can select text from anything with smart select > extract text. record a short vid as gif and attach it on a note. the glance feature. thats more than great for note taking
The advantage of surface go that you didnt mention is its running windows 10, you can open multiple notes on windows 10, so when you see another relevant note, or copy the content efficiently, or for manage your notes. For student it is the best value too, because it can open desktop microsoft office, have a good placement of camera for online meeting, and i think the kickstand also a good point
Samsung doesn't need a battery as it uses wacom tech to work. So, you don't have to worry about battery.
Microsoft battery lasts about a year. Apple needs charging often. OneNote seems to work smooth on the tab S6 Lite and that's enough for me.

I really love surface go! Sold my ipad air to try to buy one! The kickstand and the fact that it has windows with the complete version of office amazes me! I'm in love with surface go 2!! Trying to save money to buy one in time for the next year of college!😊

Hello there!! As always I enjoyed this vid!! I always learn something new. I’m enjoying my IPad 10.2 inch. Yes, I know it’s the budget model but it does what I need it to do. It’s 128gig. With the stylus I found a knock off one on Amazon for 25 bucks and it works very well. I did order the IPad from Apple and they offered free engraving so I thought that was a nice touch. It’s very small, but nice lol. Thanx for this comparison video and as always I will check out more of your vids. I’ve been a subscriber since September. 😁👍

ive watched so many videos on tablets the past years or so , even typing on an ancient samsung galaxy tab 2 10.1, even if its really laggy, i just need a device to get the job done (video editing, script writing, good accuracy, and has enough storage so i could draw, still havent found that one that one good but cheap tablet cri)

I don't have a Tab S6 Lite but I do have a Note 9. If I recall correctly, all SPens have an erase function too. Press and hold the button to erase.

can you use notability's key features in samsung notes? (The scissors tool to move around layers of what you write, importing lasso selected screen shots to annotate and shape corrections for shaky hands)
If not, can you reccomend an app that offers those features and is similar to notability's note taking experience?
I might be the only one but notability is the only reason I'm even looking into an ipad as a student..

My phone is a note 10+, tablet a 2018 iPad pro, laptop an Asus Predator. I use OneNote because it is so seamlessly cross platform.

I have had a variety of tablets trying to go paperless over the years from the blackberry playbook to windows tablets to samsung to lenovo and in my opinion, nothing beats the ipad for the handwritten digital notes experience. I have the 2018 ipad 9.7 and I do regret not doing a bit more research (as someone who has never had an apple device). I would have found it worth it to spring the extra $200 for the Air or even the 2017 Pro. Now I want to upgrade to a 2018 pro for the 2nd gen pencil 🥴
