Hi Nick, thanks for this great information delivered to digestible simplicity. Kindly guide on load holding capacity of such floors and dimensions of each hollow piece. Good work!
Nice Vid, you should do a video on the maximum span the beams and blocks can reach as well as the min/max thickness of the poured slab on top of the beam/blocks, steel reinforcement sizes and spacings and give information on expansion joints and waterproofing for external slabs. this would answer so many questions one would have when planning a job and calculating materials.
Very informative, please recommend sites that we can visit…seeing is believing. Also, 1. Do o a video on flat beam vs T-beam. 2. Confirm kind of blocks recommended for walling, especially for high rise structures.
Good evening. I am really interested in manufacturing the beam and blocks. I am attending the course now and when I am finished, I will make them. My question is that, can I build a double story house with maxibricks? Thank you.
I am curious to know if there have been any failures or collapses using this technology as compared to the normal method of building suspended slabs. Also I am curious to know the typical thickness of the poured concrete layer, as well as the MPa of the concrete mix if you know it. Thankyou for making an interesting and informative video. It is very good in my opinion.
Stupid man! You are curious to know of failures and collapses of a technology. Why aren't you curious to know successes and benefits of the technology?
Thank you for the informative video. I think it would be very helpful if you showed a real house being built by this method from start to finish - costs, time, key learnings, etc. Also, are there houses you know of that have withstood the the test of time of perhaps 10years with this method? If so, could you do a video? This would calm some of the doubts that we have as potential clients. Best regards 🙏
Thank you Nick. Is it possible to do a series where a hybrid of building materials are used? I.e. for walling can EPS be used for their sound proofing properties together with brick in a single house
I think it's possible but you'll have to know whether EPS will be used for load bearing. Bricks are usually used to partition rooms and not so much to carry loads. It ultimately depends with the design of your house.
Not by themselves. A concrete layer is poured on top as a floor finish and cover. You can use waterproofing cement or put APP membrane on top of the concrete for waterproofing a flat roof slab
@@PropertyNoma thanks but I was referring to the individual beam and block that you're using in the video. What are those dimensions for one single beam and one single block?
It can go as many floors as the design of the building. The foundation, columns and beams support the loading of the structure together the precast concrete slab. Ensure you work with a qualified and experienced structural engineer for your project.
@@PropertyNoma that’s good to hear but is it possible to export them to Uganda if possible how much is each of those precast concrete slab blocks and everything that goes with it thnx for the information

Am proud working here🙈
Good job nick...I like your presentation very much.
You're welcome

I am from South Africa.
We just started producing Beams and slab blocks this was very informative, keep it up..
You just made it look so simple
Thanks

Good explanation 👏 👍 👌
well explained for layman to understand. kudos. i will adopt this technology
You're welcome Leonard

Keep up, very informative content for prospective home owners. Would you do a video on concrete roofs?
Thanks for the idea!
Well done, very clear explanation of the rib and block technology.
Thanks for the clear explanation!
Glad it was helpful!
I like the Technology
So the electrical pipes and plumbing pipes go through the beams , does it also go through the blocks
I truly appreciate this information
Good content.
Thanks Ben
This is informative i love the content
Great bro. Keep up
Great 😊

Beam & block is a standard technology in somw countries, although it's relatively new here in Kenya. The poured thickness is around 50mm
Stupid man! You are curious to know of failures and collapses of a technology. Why aren't you curious to know successes and benefits of the technology?
In some countries they use t shaped beam, which look stronger to support the hollow blocks.
Ivory coast uses it
What's the longest span for the beam?
Good job
Hey nick, can it do a foundation of a house?
How many millimeters are the brc mesh
Make video on how the precast beams are made

Good job...now tell me,2 bd room, ktchn & living room all in a flat n rectangle 50×30..appx materials n cost...pls pls. Thenx👏
Where can i get these ones
can I build a dual store with blocks bricks and use eco slap please I need help
Need more information about it. And wea do you locate in Kenya, am in samburu county
What is the minimum breath of the beams
This one NO..eco concrete is the best do a video on that its quite diff and strong

@@PropertyNoma Thank you
For a double garage of L= 6.5m x B= 6.5m can i use T-beams or flat beams?
T beams would be preferable
Is this technology stronger than the conventional slab we are used to?
It can have the same strength, only that it's faster to install
Hi, where do I get the blocks in Kisumu or can you supply me
You can get it from Ecoconcrete, Motherland Concrete, Bimtech Manufacturers, or Promax Kenya
How long is the beam
As long as the shortest span of a room
I would like to know how much a two bedroom house can consume
How many beams and blocks can I use in 216m2 area
From how may flat do i have to build
i want to know something, between that kind of slab, and concrete one, and the tile concrete, which one is the safest and cheapest?
I don't know about tile concrete but beam and block slab is slightly cheaper than conventional slab
Hi, can you use issb block for wall for bbf
I think it's possible
Mombasa zapatlana wapi
informative presentation. Are the concrete blocks and beams slabs waterproof if used as a rooftop?
Not by themselves. A concrete layer is poured on top as a floor finish and cover. You can use waterproofing cement or put APP membrane on top of the concrete for waterproofing a flat roof slab
Please I will like to know the width of the block and depth of the ression to anchor with the precast beams
Pls show us how cantilever and balconies are done
What of to continue with the collums?
Enough space is left to accommodate columns
Could this be used to do a roof?
Yes, A flat roof
Good would like to learn more. Let me know if I can get your contact.
How to call decking block in french
Great video Nick. Your building method is interesting and ingenious. What is the entire dimension of the beam and block (length/width/depth)?
The entire dimension will depend on the span of your slab...so they're customised to fit the design of your house's slab
@@PropertyNoma thanks but I was referring to the individual beam and block that you're using in the video. What are those dimensions for one single beam and one single block?
@@ecf2335 A beam's length will depend with the shortest span of your slab while a typical block's width is 400mm.
Nice presentation. what is the size of block, sir? and the beam? thank you
Block 400m width, the beam is cut according to the span of your slab
Praise God, contact pls?.
What is the maximum length of a pre stressed beam?
This is determined by the shortest span of the room, eg, for a 3x4m room, you'll use the 3m prestressed beams
Nona thanks for your video. I am in Nigeria and I am thinking of using this method. How can I reach you by phone so I can call you please
You guys have no contacts, with who do I talk to to get a quotation?
Hi you got a quotation for this?
@@ekanyinyi sorry, noone ever got back to me. Meanwhile I am almost done with my construction. They lost a business opportunity I guess
I have always wondered why they didn't just use a steel beam instead of concrete
Hello nick, how much weight can the BBF hold per square metre, can it hold 2 tanks of 5000Ltrs
That needs to be calculated to know how much weight it can carry. Consult with a structural engineer
Eco slabs contacts please 🙏
Tony of Promax 0713906889
What is the size of the block? Diameter?
Around 400mm width
Where do I get ur contact i need you to do the cost of my slab i send you the plan

Hi, kindly check the description section of the video
The cost of casting prestressed beams , transporting them and launching them in positions will be more than the traditional solid slab.
It's a good point Eric, but it's better to have options when constructing
Please do you have Facebook profile for easier communication.
Hi Edward, I don't use Facebook but you can reach me through email :propertynoma5@gmail.com
An interlocking side width look too short, a big fat heavy person could fall down.
Can't one make a beam at home
No you can't because of the prestressing process. You'll need specialized equipment to prestress the steel tendons when casting concrete for the beam
Thanks for the response. And reinforcement rod won't do
How much prestress are the tendons subjected to?
barefoot i come teacher@vision
This could KILL A LOT OF POOR PEOPLE, STOP THIS SHIT NOW.
Just for general info, still up to you to decide if you want to use or not.
What evidence do you have?
Most buildings in Eastleigh are built using this technology
