The crotal bells are pretty neat. Im primarily a coin collector, but watching these videos is making me want to collect more, like those bells and buttons too. Some buttons are more expensive than coins.....and those bells (from what I saw on Ebay) sell for $25-$40 a piece. Very nice! Fantastic finds guys.

Absolutely incredible permission. If only every hunt could be like this. From the property owners being so gracious, friends together have a great time and some outstanding finds. It can't get much better than that. Thanks for sharing. Take care.

What an awesome residence to search for treasure. You gentlemen killed it . That property was a once in a lifetime permission. What a wonderful homeowner to permit three strangers to dig on their property. Congratulations on your discoveries. Great video.

Fantastic hunt, QH, all of you!!!! I'm already looking forward to the next adventure day!
That small piece with the number "6" (a 9 would have a line drawn under it)... I think it might be the top of a knitting needle. I can't attach pics, or I would show mine. The numbered disk snaps onto a metal collar around the upper end of the needle, just like a button.
The sterling silver handle (beautiful!) reminded me immediately of one of two things, button hook or ladies manicure set piece. Vanity and manicure sets were beautiful (my mother and my grandmother had one), could be very elaborate, and they often included a button hook.

    Jason,
Great Hunt. The biggest piece of lead looks like part of what old sailors (like me) call a "Lead Line". The lead bit was attached to a long cord of knotted line and tossed from the deck of a boat the see how deep the water is. The square opening in the lead was stuffed with tallow (beef fat) and some of the material from the bottom would stick to that so you could judge what the bottom was like. Could be very old. Cool HH

Fancy handle looks like the handle from a hand held Mirror

I think that little long handled thing with a little scoop at the end may be a measuring spoon for medication back in the day.

that key you found looks just like the 1 I have that opens my trunk from the 1800's...

Some of those old keys are really ornate. Always hard to date them but 1800s would not be out of the question. Thanks Steve!

Beautiful coins Jason. Give the reales their due respect - they were available when we didn't have the organization for minting yet. Definately not pirate treasure and I believe a bit more respect is justified. Thanks and happy hunting. Chuck in NE Kansas

1924 commonwealth of australia penny. Now that coin is a LONG way from home. I've dug plenty here in australia. Great find.

I think WWII veterans brought home a lot of foreign coins and currency back home with them. We seem to find a lot of them and they are almost always pre-1950. Just a guess really, but it helps me sleep at night from wondering.
