Thanks for playing! Thrilled you enjoyed so much. Those moments - the King on Grak's shoulder staring down at the fields of War and Destruction - are the stories we wanted to create. You'll dig the other guardians and leaders ;)
Leaping onto or shelves and dealing a fatal wound into our collections, Skulk Hollow has become one of our favorite 2 player dueling games. With smooth simple gameplay, colorful and imaginative pieces, this small box feels as big as the Guardians players are aiming to take down. Check out our gameplay and find out if the Foxen Heroes are able to save their kingdom from the Guardians awakening!
Good job Jan! And good job Jesse! I got trounced by my kid earlier this evening and this video helped me realize we had been playing two things incorrectly. Grak gazes orthogonally only. Power Cubes don’t require a card to be spent, only the cube! This video has provided a great service to me. Thank you!
I almost backed this when it was on Kickstarter. If they have another one, I'm backing it. This looks like a great 2 player tactics game without too many complicated strings attached. Awesome video!
For sure! I didn’t know what to expect from it to be honest - and I’m completely charmed. I hope they have a second campaign for new factions / a new region!
Randomly saw this game on BGG and was hoping there might be a Quackelope playthrough. You guys are best in the business for entertaining let’s plays that teach the rules of the game as well.
Just a note: in normal table seating (i.e. not for the camera) the players would be facing each other, with the player playing the guardian with the lair space pointed to them, and the Foxen player with the keep space pointed to them. In this orientation the movement cards make a lot more sense.
Dang, really gutted I missed out on this one. Looks a lot of fun, especially when both players are familiar with it. Good job Jan (I watch that far 😀). I too love shadow of the colossus and always felt bad for them. These Skulk Hollow guardians don't seem as sympathetic though. I like the way you visualize and create scenes for what's happening in game.
I have a lot of fun with the lore in games - it’s how I learn, teach, and play :) - haha - Jan will be so happy to see this post! Thanks for watching - and the game is a real gem! I don’t know / think the guardians are quite as sympathetic - but I will need to dive into the lore more to know for sure.
Good job, Jan! Hahaha It seems pretty fun. For a while there I thought it was quite unbalanced, but probably because of inexperience, because it was a tight race by the end. Would like to see more variability on the heroes and the colosi.
Nice xD - Jan will be so proud of himself. The balance at the start of it is 100% down to a bit of inexperience - however the guardian (this one specifically) is designed to just be a powerful force. The mistake I made was brining out my weak figures without having actions prepped for them to take - when I eventually dropped a double arrow shot XD that felt so good!
@@Quackalope Yeah - There is plenty of card draw, but Skulk is absolutely a game you can be good at. Taking on a new player can be brutal. It's hard not to just thwap an unprotected king early ;P
@@GamingwithEdo I think Jan was being nice to me early on XD - he gave me a chance to learn the game and try to win! I like that you can be "good" at this game - a solid 2 player needs that ability since you are going to play - time and time again with the same group.
I think it strikes a nice balance - often the guardian feels strong at first but if the foxes figure out a strategy they can make it a real struggle! :) I have been following along with your channel - keep devouring games!
Thanks :) finding the right balance for background music can be tough - songs swell and drop - and editing on my computer sounds different from a phone, in a office, through headphones etc - I can promise we will keep working to improve the quality and experience as a whole!

I am excited to give them all a deeper look :) - I play and learn games through the story so this one hit all the right notes.
@@Quackalope Woot!

^ Love that quote!
@@GamingwithEdo I do as well XD - Jan just joined the Quackalope team as a writer. I am excited and lucky to have him on board!
I found this more helpful than the how to play videos for learning this game. This was really enjoyable to watch!

This looks so cute - definitely would love to see another playthrough!

Good job Jan! You did great!
Hahah XD he did do a good job!
Really enjoy the honest banter between you two, makes it authentic.

Please another gameplay....this game is amazing and fun!!
I’ll have to let Jan know this needs to hit the channel again XD - I would not mind that at all!
Good job Jan!
Good job Jan! Great run through guys! Really enjoyed it.
Thank you for watching :) I am glad you enjoyed it!!!
Good job Jan! Way to go!
He did it :D

Yes! This clicked for me once I realized that :) - thanks for watching and commenting!
Wow, the art is awesome in this game !!
Yea! I adore it :) make sure to google those other guardians as well - there is a kraken style one!

I found it harder to win as the monster

Quackalope.
bad jokes aside great video and the game look awesome i hope I can play it someday
Gj You did good
Thanks!
Any channel that uploads board game quality content in 4K gets a subscribe from me! But please drop the background music, it's very distracting :)

The throw action throws to the ground not to any space, also surrounding is any edge including the corner
Good job Jan! Way to go!
