    This transition style has really changed the game for me -- getting really nice and low when you open up the hip to start the transition is such an important tip! When I focused on doing it consistently, I would always come out of the transition feeling just as balanced as forward skating and found that I would really naturally shift into backwards crossovers to keep speed and start manoeuvring laterally. 💯

    Awesome video and tutorial! Now I was wondering what my transition look like, I can’t even remember haha, didn’t really pay attention to how I do it

    How does a street hockey tutorial have the most beautiful, artistic lighting of any video on UA-cam 😂😂

    Jeremy, Your videos are great and I am really developing my rookie beer league skills by watching them and applying the information, keep it up. I have some Marsblades and appreciate the how to videos as I am practicing on the MBLADES like a mad man this off season, they are AMAZING! Transitioning to backwards and becoming a proficient backwards skater is a major goal to make everything come together with my game. Thanks as take care my hockey brother, be blessed! Onward with The Hockey Movement!

      Why don't you lend Pavel Zdeno's twig and see if we can slow down his dangling at all, lol!

      That's awesome Tommy. Make sure you've got a helmet on when practicing going backwards. I'd love to see a before and after video, or even just get a message from you after the summer is over to hear you're improvements.

      I'm all over it Jeremy! I thought taking some video before and after may be a helpful training tool and yeah that on the helmet! I'm going out pretty well armored up like I'm playing hockey for now. I like to push my comfort zone and in doing so I have had a few spills! The last thing I want is to get hurt so I can't play hockey, lol!

    Love those tips. Will be very helpful.
    Could you do something on quick feet ? You know when players are doing those really quick crossovers.

    Are you still living in canada? did you move cause i don't recall beaches in canada.

    • @CoachJeremy
      @CoachJeremy  8 років тому +14

      Fun Facts. Canada has over 202 000 KM of coastline, almost FOUR times more than any other country. Canada also has more lakes than any other country in the world. With all those lakes, and all that coastline, I think we might have at least one beach :) To answer your question yes I live in Canada, this video was shot in L.A

    Do they truly feel like skating in ice? I switched to ice 5 years ago and recently I’ve tried multiple time to vocal to traditional hockey rollerblade, missions, tours etc. and I can’t turn at all. They feel like bricks. So just curious.

      Hold a doorknob get into a horse stance put your feet to the door and lean back. Same can be done on ice 30 second - 1 minute at the end of session to stretch warm muscles.

    When I saw a picture of you, and the title Transitions, I thought “Oh no, even Jeremy has jumped on the trans bandwagon”. Phew, that was a close one. I need to sit down for a while, have a tea, and a biscuit. Breath deeply.
