@@Trap.Samurai we all know Maury is the one to go to for that anyway.

@Darrel Hicks this whole movie was sugar coated sadness.. the whole concept of the movie was sad two black men served life in jail falsely charged because color of their skin... movie hits different now that I’m old enough to look past the comedy
Bddhdhfh,
I’ve never seen this movie, but I knew the moment the mother asked for her baby back, she practically spilled the beans who the father was. It’s a mothers instinct to keep her child safe. And if her daddy had figured it out, it was going to get ugly and she wanted her baby as far away from that as possible. It’s a beautiful thing, a mother’s intuition. But again, she might as well have pointed right at him. Thankfully, the father had his friends to cover for him.
Someone who reviewed the movied pointed out that the women actual had a Husband that left for the war, so the grampa thought the kid was her husband but it turn out that she cheated on Her husband who was off to war.

The saddest thing is that in real life her parents would have made her give the baby away. No way they would let her raise him

While the scene was hilarious it was also heartbreaking due to the fact that two beautiful Souls found each other, fell in love and had a beautiful baby together but would never be able to be together because of the time they lived in, you can tell in the woman's eyes how much she really did love him but couldn't be with him due to the circumstances and despite everything they still had feelings for each other but couldn't do anything about it for she was essentially trapped and couldn't escape her family and he couldn't escape being falsely imprisoned which in turn took away his chance to ever see her or his son again, if you really take the time to look and think it truly is a sad scene.
