Mafia III's police vehicles really should have had blue lights - the NOPD has pretty much always used all blue on their squads. The sirens were great in Mafia III though, way better than the awful stock sound the 50s cars had in Mafia II.
They did kind of nail it with Mafia 3. Pretty sure they literally used what's called a "Federal Signal Corporation Siren". Possibly the Model PA20A from the 60s and 70s-ish.
Mafia 3's game engine really enhanced the police siren with the working halogen lights for the gumball siren and car lighting as well in general. Helped a lot that the devs made the siren mechanical for Mafia DE.
Mafia 3 also has a unique white police off-road sheriff transport that cannot be obtained. Do an analysis of police vehicles, their characteristics from GTA 5, with new updates there are a lot of new police vehicles
@@ARMY-1941 There is ambulance and fire truck (Mafia OG only) but they have no siren and no lights that can be toggled. Which is why I didn't add them to the video.
@ yeah, the lights do work because in the mission where you rig the race car, there’s a ambulance that you pass with the lights on which is interesting
Because of the fact that mafia 3 is unplayable (thank you console players) i didnt even notice that it had that many police cars realy cool 👍🏻 that + the sound track are the 2 only good things in the game
In the original Mafia, you were not only encouraged to outrun the police to avoid arrest, but to also escape that horrible ear-piercing siren.
What did you expect? Sirens are designed to be annoying and horrible.

By Mafia 3, Sirens evolved. The mechanical was being switched over to the modern sirens. Depending on the department and state.
