  • Morote-seoi-nage is one of the hardest throws to make work because it's really quite difficult to get fold your arms across to enter into the throw. This is especially so if uke is wary of your technique and is blocking your tsurite (lapel or lifting hand). Here are some tips to help you overcome this problem. Also, movement is crucial. Use the action-reaction principle to your advantage.

    Hi Shintaro, what about drop seoi for LvR situations? I see a lot of competitors (especially Korean and Japanese lightweights) that make it work, but I'm unsure of the setups, especially when you can't threaten kouchi as easily

    when I was doing judo in the 70s, my teacher: in seoi nage, .. "never put your knees on the ground" .. Ciao very interesting.
