I'm glad i'm not the only one who can see how utterly breathtaking this performance is. Apart from her mesmerizing vocals she also manages to convey the song with her eyes, when she looks into the camera it's like she can see right inside you. The woman is incredible.
Not braggin, but... 1998 single hit Blockbuster Video and I had it on my discman with Moa. Thank goodness for Robyn - seen her twice, Royksopp bit was alright, and now the new tour. Based on fests, she is going to be Robyn. e.g. AMAZING.
I met Robyn 20 years ago when I was just 13 years old and sang with her on TV in Montreal . I never forgot that moment . She's such a generous beautiful person . #fan4life
9 years... 9 years I've been in love with someone who, to this day, will never love me back. Some days, I feel like I'm better, and that eventually I'll be ok... but then, later that day, I'll be crying my eyes out. My heart doesn't understand, and my mind keeps replaying times that I thought he was close to finally loving me. He will never belong to me... he will always be belonging to someone else. This song, gets me...
Loved her since I first heard Show Me Love on the radio in 1997. I bought her album Robyn Is Here straight after. I think she's so talented, and yet she somehow ends up on the underated list, along with the likes of James Morrison and Gavin Degraw 😔
The section at 3:42-3:56 is excruciating to behold--the pain is so real. She always delivers such unvarnished emotion. What an amazing writer and incredible singer.
this is the best performance of this song. it brought to tears to my eyes then and it still does now. its just her eyes are so big and blue and i just feel like i'm floating in the waves of the deep blue oceans that are her eyes
Just discovered Robyn... A few days ago I was at Macy's buying some ties when this song was on, "ROBYN - Dancing On My Own." I googled it and been listening ever since... The song "Be Mine", is so well performed, it literally gave me chills. I like how Robyn pronounces her words and delivers emotion, effortlessly.
I'm happy for you to have found her. She is to be treasured. If you haven't already, watch her cover of Bjork's Hyperballad -- for Bjork -- at the Polar Awards. And everything else.
+WeAreN1nja haha bro, this makes me feel a tad bit weak. The genuineness of her singing, the feeling you get from her singing, how can you not let it impact you ay lol.
+WeAreN1nja why do men think that being manly means having no feelings???? Manly to me means men who are not afraid to be who they are or feel what they feel. Otherwise you are just another slave of how society says you should act.
weykmanfr I can't speak for all mean, but I'm simply not that emotional. Not because I'm some cold-blooded badass, but because I really don't feel much. It's not that casual apathy that's all the rage nowadays, it's just the way I am. The way my father was. The way the majority of my friends are. I would imagine that most men aren't that way because we're supposed to be; it's simply how we're wired.
+TheMainMayn Don't feel weak. xD There's no "formula" for masculinity anymore. It's 2016 and the barriers and social stigma that once stymied and pigeonholed men and women have been minimized if not eradicated. So idk, just be happy or sad, as the mood strikes u. To feel is to be human. There's no wrong or right way to go about it.
3:30 she's not playing anymore. She's looking straight at whoever this song is about and deep down she hopes that they'll come across it and genuinely understand what she's saying.
I see golden horizons in your eyes.. I feel the primal desire to breathe freely, to love and to say that I am happy. That's you. It always been you. I know you a little, and it seems to me that you have been there since the first spark of creation.
"Be Mine!" It's a good thing tears never show in the pouring rain As if a good thing ever could make up for all the pain There'll be no last chance, I promise to never mess it up again Just a sweet pain of watching your back as you walk As I'm watching you walk away And now you're gone, there's like an echo in my head And I remember every word you said It's a cool thing you'll never know all the ways I tried It's a hard thing faking a smile when I feel like I'm falling apart inside And now you're gone, there's like an echo in my head And I remember every word you said And you never were and you never will be mine No, you never were and you never will be mine For the first time, there is no mercy in your eyes And the cold wind's hitting my face and you're gone And you're walking away And I am helpless sometimes, wishing's just no good 'Cause you don't see me like I wish you would 'Cause you never were and you never will be mine No, you never were and you never will be mine There's a moment to seize every time that we meet But you always keep passing me by No, you never were and you never will be mine I saw you at the station You had your arm around what's-her-name She had on that scarf I gave you You got down to tie her laces 'Cause you never were and you never will be mine (You looked happy and that's great) No, you never were and you never will be mine (I just miss you, that's all) 'Cause you never were and you never will be mine No, you never were and you never will be mine There's a moment to seize every time that we meet But you have always keep passing me by No, you never were and you never will be mine 'Cause you never were and you never will be mine No, you never were and you never will be mine There's a moment to seize every time that we meet But you have always keep passing me by No, you never were and you never will be mine
Emotional expressions through both her voice and lyrics make me feel something every time I listen to her songs. Time will never steal her sweetness but I wish I could have a little of it. I'm not convinced that any living breathing human being would ever wish her anything but adoration. She makes the (musical) path less traveled worth it for me. I yearn for things in my life and she is proof that I'm not just inventing it all in my head and that my standards have merit.
Better than the album version. Just as evocative, if not more so. In this simple arrangement, somehow, she's more raw and even more real. That innate expression. Beautiful.
Ive probably listen to this song and many others over 1000 times each on my Robyn radio via pandora. Ive never seen her live until now on UA-cam. Without her music I wouldn't have a degree, I listened to this and studied. One day I would love to work with you. On my bucket list. Much love and respect Robyn.

That pause at 3:30 secs is so hauntingly tragically beautiful an echo of pain that most of us have felt through the heartache and pains of a break up.
the painful sigh... after she said "that's all" fuckkkk i feel that ......😢
You can tell this one hits home. Her eyes are glassy.. she sings it like shes lived it... amazing song! Raw talent.

How lucky! She is such a beautiful singer
Great story are you a singer/performer? Or was it just a chance of a lifetime
When she looks at the camera it kinda takes your breath away. She is so genuine and I love love love that. Gorgeous song.
The emotion that pulls through when she talks is killing me!! So strong :(
the emotions from 3:30 and so on. almost like utter complete desperation of finally realizing things are not what you want them to be
I never tire of Robyn's take on this soulful song. It hurts to hear it, but I need to play it anyway.
She is a treasure
WOW!! Her confidence is so effortless! From her facial expressions to her eye contacts, all true and real. She definitely has a new fan for life!
Having heard the original and all the remixes, THIS is the way the song was meant to be heard

Wow your vocals just brought me tears...
The way she sings this, you can feel her pain, she is just so amazing.
I love this woman, she puts so much through her expression and voice that you just fall instantly for her.

2018 and I'm still crying about this version- on how pure and honest it is!
Still a beautiful song...... brings a tear almost everytime.... can hear the emotion in her voice 😢😢
One of the best live versions ever, so beautiful done she is just Amazing.

her voice give me chills. i love it.
Just discoverd this jewel*. So fragile especially the spoken lyrics ... Hearts from Belgium. Robyn ... b mine
it's crazy how the album version doesn't sounds sad but then you hear it like this and it hits in a total different way
I fucking love THIS version, is sweeter than the original one, it makes me cry, really. ♥ I love Robyn!
this is a great version of the original song
2019 and I'm still watching this
Who's here with me in 2020? Robyn is just a classic voice ❤
I see golden horizons in your eyes.. I feel the primal desire to breathe freely, to love and to say that I am happy. That's you. It always been you. I know you a little, and it seems to me that you have been there since the first spark of creation.

"Be Mine!"
It's a good thing tears never show in the pouring rain
As if a good thing ever could make up for all the pain
There'll be no last chance, I promise to never mess it up again
Just a sweet pain of watching your back as you walk
As I'm watching you walk away
And now you're gone, there's like an echo in my head
And I remember every word you said
It's a cool thing you'll never know all the ways I tried
It's a hard thing faking a smile when I feel like I'm falling apart inside
And now you're gone, there's like an echo in my head
And I remember every word you said
And you never were and you never will be mine
No, you never were and you never will be mine
For the first time, there is no mercy in your eyes
And the cold wind's hitting my face and you're gone
And you're walking away
And I am helpless sometimes, wishing's just no good
'Cause you don't see me like I wish you would
'Cause you never were and you never will be mine
No, you never were and you never will be mine
There's a moment to seize every time that we meet
But you always keep passing me by
No, you never were and you never will be mine
I saw you at the station
You had your arm around what's-her-name
She had on that scarf I gave you
You got down to tie her laces
'Cause you never were and you never will be mine
(You looked happy and that's great)
No, you never were and you never will be mine
(I just miss you, that's all)
'Cause you never were and you never will be mine
No, you never were and you never will be mine
There's a moment to seize every time that we meet
But you have always keep passing me by
No, you never were and you never will be mine
'Cause you never were and you never will be mine
No, you never were and you never will be mine
There's a moment to seize every time that we meet
But you have always keep passing me by
No, you never were and you never will be mine
Lhyli Bqrn the lyrics are so poetic and heart wrenching

Best performance of this song handsdown!

Shit man, this came out in 2011 but I've only just watched this now lol far out this is beautiful.
+TheMainMayn This version was released by Robyn 11 January 2008... Just saying...
She is such an insanely beautiful performer, inspiring. Reminds me why I want to perform. Cheers.
