- What is the Muller-Lyer illusion? How does the Muller-Lyer illusion work? Are the lines different sizes? In this video, we will be looking at two popular psychological theories about how this visual illusion works. Our brains can trick us and these theories could help us understand why we can't always trust our initial instincts (especially with brain games and optical illusions).

I have an exam tomorrow and even though I read the notes, I needed to get a visual understanding. Thanks for this🙌❤️
As old as 1889 says Google, and explaination is still unsure! We know very little indeed! (Just learned on another channel - veritasium - that we still have no proof that the speed of light is the same on the way back, so the number we got is called Einstein convention!). Tkx for all your great videos, I now know more than before watching them!
That’s interesting about the speed of light, I didn’t know that! Glad you can get something out of watching my videos!
? but you didn't even say how nonurban people react to the circle version of the experiment
I don’t know. I think where the measurement is the trick. If one considers the line and not the arrow shape limits, lines are indeed different.
So nice thanks ❤❤
👌🏻👌🏻
I still see them as different I don't get it
Well a new hack k
i didnt know people thought it was different....
