  • I decided to go streamer fishing for brook trout in a small creek!!
I only had a handful of hours to go fishing and with the drought we've had in the eastern US it's been tough to find good water to fish. Luckily I was able to find a creek that had a lot of water for the time of year, which made for some fun fishing.
When small creeks and streams are low for long periods of time and then get a bunch of water that can be some of the most amazing fishing you'll ever experience. And this video proves that. This was likely my best few hours of fishing of the summer after struggling for over a week to find some good fishable water. I'm just glad the brook trout and rainbow trout are happy and healthy even after the low water we've had.
    Thanks for watching!!

I used to love fishing a day or two after a good rainstorm..
It was like a feeding frenzy for the trout with the cooler water and more food flowing by.

I surely enjoy your videos, and I am always impressed with your enthusiasm & skill, that said , a little tip on your streamer fishing. Drop your rod tip lower, you'll have less slack to take up on the strike and you'll increase your hookups. I've been fly fishing since 1977 and that is the best tip I've every gotten, for all my streamer fishing. Keep up the great videos.

Definitely good advice! I don't always do that in these small streams if I'm fishing really shallow water because I'm trying to keep the streamer off the bottom so I don't get stuck.

Could you maybe do a video on fishing Penns Creek in Pennsylvania. I am from Pennsylvania and I just started learning how to fly fish and I thought it would be cool if you fish one of my dad’s favorite streams. My Dad is teaching me how to fly fish after fly fishing for 40 years and is passing his knowledge on to me. Love your videos keep up the good work.

    Hello,
Im 14 and I love watching your videos and also love fly fishing. I live in Pennsylvania and we have some pretty good streams too. Do you think that maybe you could fish up here sometime I would love to see a video of you fishing the stream near my house. It is a native brookie stream and I’ve caught a 12 inch fish there.
