@@AvidWelderlittle tip. Dont use a power sander. Hand sand with dry starting at 320 ish. Wet sand from 400 to 12000 grit. Then use a soft wood block coated in jewlers rouge to go up to 60k grit. Maybe higher if you can find higher grit polish. Every grit change direction that way you can see when all previous grits marks are removed.

Maybe a soft buffing pad on a bench grinder but be careful because it can cause waviness
