Cool seeing The Continental Club in the video. I miss Tony too, but Brian still has the band going. Its worth it to check out Redd V and Dale Watson at the CC too.
@@seththomas9105 Of course, breaking up right when you start getting some attention had nothing to do with that. Life on the road with constant access to free alcohol and drugs has killed many a talent, so just quitting is definitely an option for a family man.
These guy's were so damn good I hated when Tony V left the band they never recovered from that. I saw them many times when they came through Dallas and they were such a killer live band ,but of course Nashville did nothing to promote them so Tony hung it up ...Too bad
klbax63 I really miss Tony as well. He became a born-again Christian and left the band to get into the clergy trade . . . like what he was doing in the derailers was ‘anti-Christian’ or something.

one of the original Derailers , bass player, Vic Gerard told me the band was in debt and Tony was tired of touring--they always packed the house in Houston, awesome band
These guys are so cool 😎 the Buck Owens influence is strong in their songs and I f'n love it !!!!
Painfully underrated band.
These guys should've been a household name back in the day. Especially when Tony was still in the band
Noone better than The Derailers in the 90's!
What a great band they were.🎸🎻
Damn good. This is what country should be today.
One of my all time faves... nothing beats the 90s
Id pay anything to see Tony play with them again.
Same here
Me too
+1
Seriously, one of the tightest bands of all time.
Buck Owens saw it in these guys. Why the hell didn't Nashville? Country music is a better place today because the Derailers passed through.
That's why Dwight Yoakam left Nashville and headed to Bakersfield.
Nashville didn't even see "it" in Buck Owens. At least Dwight Yoakam got them to wake up before Buck passed.
Only saw these guys play once. Was a great show at The Casbah sometime in the late 90s

1990s Derailers were the BEST !
How in the world did I never hear of these guys? Dang.
Easy, they weren't Bro Country or Garth Brooks. They were real C&W so Nashville shit all over them.

And can we say something about the fabulous Scott Walls on pedal steel? He RIPS on this song--and the entire album.

Tony was the biz for sure.Pity he left the band.

as good as this band was, I don't think they made what they really deserved, lots of great bands have this problem
At the continental club. very cool.
great band, I know Vic bass player very well, sad Tony left them, that kinda ended it
Austin was so much fun back in the early 90s, not like that now
I thought Tony would get his hair cut by by Sid King !!
Please do some gigs with Tony . C'mon fellas
