Yeah, even if that work was already underway in Soviet times, I think it shows that Bulgarian manufacturers like VMZ or Arsenal or Dunarit are used to selling products to the US for decades now - soviet, but 1% improved. I am so glad we are being our own little aresenal for democracy. Certainly the tax levs are not hurting us either. Bulgaria did the smart thing and kept all the arms industry and even developed it, west did exact opposite and are now in panic mode, while you can chill and make dollars, legit!
Thanks for the vids, always cool to have these kind of breakdowns. Seeing these types of giant munitions really makes me appreciate the Carl Gustav. Not needing to fiddle with multiple boosters and warheads seems so much easier putting aside the longer range and accuracy.
@@MishaAmashukeliyou’d have to ask Val, but once the booster is attached the round seems like it’s more easily damaged and with a round like this having the boosters attached while in a pack makes them really long and cumbersome. If you’re within range the PG-7T/VR is the better choice for anti-armor and the RPG seems easier to reload by yourself. I’ve handled RPG’s when I was in Baghdad and they are definitely lighter than the older models of and more compact than the Gustav. The Goose really shines when you need to hit something accurately beyond 200 meters.

The table is confusing, 100/300 has ratio of 1 to 3 while 190/400 is close to 1 to 2. It would make more sense if the ratio increased instead of decreasing, because of g acceleration. edit: nvm I guess the motor burning sheds weight and the drag stays same
Great video, as always. In addition to adding the known and proven "Zeroing conversion" to the crates lid, I'd suggest adding it to the warhead body as well since the end user might not always be the "dedicated" AT member/operator, had a chance to see the crate, or been informed by someone of the known sight settings for the required difference in aiming or that there even is a difference. A short term solution IMO could be adding it yourselves with a grease pencil or some other form of marker that wont just wipe as "as" easily as a permanent marker on metal (IMO creating a stencil/cutout then just spraying 2-3 light swipes of spray paint each would be the optimal way as you could automate most of it by combining steps and do the whole crate in the time it'd take to write it out on just the first 1-2 warheads; and it would be more resilient to coming off than a marker or something on that metal), Wether you use black to maintain it's camouflage Green wt the already black writing, or make it red or something equally higher vis to standout to the user more as something "Important!" is up to y'all; if its even that important enough for you to spend critical free time to do so in the first place. Alternatively, you could write it out on Note Cards or Post-It notes, then use a clear heavy duty tape and tape and 100% cover the note to each bagged warhead so they can still have the info, but while letting the rocket and to a lesser degree the conversion card remain water proof/"Resistant" in its Transport/Stowage bag. Though if someones given a round torn open and prepared with boosters by someone else, they might not get the info unless already told or something. Hopefully, they'll eventually just be made that way at the factory like you said so you guys don't gotta worry about it, at all. Either way, best of luck to all of you!
These things are so impressively long, that even in Arma 3 our SL specifically taught us to never load this thing up unless you intend to fire it immediately, because if you try to carry the RPG in the back with a tandem warhead loaded you'd be sticking out like a light pole, and most zeus will happily jump at the opportunity to punish such stupidity...

On a lot of them it's actually not necessary, the velocity will crush the cap just fine. Also consider he's firing it for a demonstration, not in a life or death situation so it's not that important. *Forgot to add*- look at the effect on target. The fuze cap didn't stop the warhead doing it's intended job...

The angle of the cone in the shaped charge is shallower. This changes the required standoff distance. You lose a little performance but it makes sense to make it more portable.
They were developing those shaped charges for years to perfect their performance. It is manufactured to much tighter tolerances/higher precision, uses a more energetic filling and a better charge geometry.
Modern shaped charges can penetrate up to 10 times their caliber in RHA if fired perpendicularly at the optimum standoff distance to target surface. The main charge in PG-7T is of a 93 mm caliber, it certainly can punch through up to 600 mm of RHA.

You don't have to with the newer warheads. Infact, it is advised to leave the metallic cap on the fuze in case of heavy rain.

It's probably cheaper to use live rounds in cases like this. Practice rounds are much more common with western weaponry.
Not all soldiers are on the front, and those that are aren’t constantly on the front.
Soldiers are constantly rotated dude. You don't want to have one guy sitting on the front constantly... That leads to exhausted soldiers.
