I'd forgotten about Karen Kay. I was actually looking for Karen Kay the bass guitar player! 😳 Glad i decided to take a look though. Monkhouse really took a good look didn't he? Different era. Boy could she belt out a tune! Even more impressive because she was in character.

My mother loved her so much she named my twin sister and I after her. Our Karen was first born so she was named Karen and then me Kay, we're both 53 now.
It's nice to see these videos our mother would've watched she sadly died 49 years ago.

She’s super talented. I remember watching her on tv. I later became a fan of her sons music. I’ve only just found out his mum was the great impressionist/comedian & singer I used to see on tv when I was kid.

Fair play to this beautiful & wonderfully talented lady. It must have been very difficult for her, raising her son all alone (and losing his twin) while holding down such a busy career in the industry, BUT she did it & my goodness, didn't SHE do it well?! I love her voice & the songs she sings. Hat's off to the LADY Karen :-)
