Hi there Melanie! I went to SB19 Chicago concert. I finally met the boys, like you KEN is my bias. I got myself VIP ticket so during the photo op I got lucky to stand behind KEN. We are told no talking, touching, no taking pictures. So as I was standing behind him I tried best to follow the rules. So I just decided to whisper I LOVE YOU KEN. I can't believe what he did!l He turned his head his face few inches away from mine and acknowledged me . I couldn't believe it I was shocked. Then he extended his hand so I end up with a handshake. He knew we are not allowed to touch them so he initiated the first move. For me after that encounter even the concert haven't started yet it's the already over coz my heart is so filled with happiness that I can't explain. I am so content that l saw them live and the bonus of being able to see KEN close up and experienced his kindness.
I went to the Dallas concert yesterday and during Ken's solos performance I want to take a video but I am just blown away and didn't be able to take none! His deep voice is out in this world. I finally heard and witnessed it myself. It's freaking real ❤.

Ken grew up with his grandparents. His grandpa was a pastor. He sings praise songs in their church. Even if he is not the youngest in SB19 he is a baby, very shy and seldom talks in interviews. I believe he is very unique, a rare kind, hard to find, a talented artist, writer, composer, producer, entrepreneur, a CEO, dancer, and he is also got a gifted hand in art. He has it all!

There where times that I thought I already knew him. But he never failed to surprise me. I wanna give you some trivia. Felip in allergic to alcohol so he is not drinking and definitely not smoking too. The Drink Smoke song is inspired by his friends or someone he knew that drink and smoke whenever they are stress just to escape the problem even for a short time. When he first showcase his EP live . He change the lyrics of drinksmoke while singing it. Before he sing the line "I drink I smoke 2x" he said instead. " no. No. That's bad. That's bad. Don't do it don't do it " and the audiences cheer him more. My admiration for him got deeper. . Again and again. Even when he is simply drinking water from his tumbler the audiences are shouting. Thank you so much for this RV! You made me experience this EP again, but on another level. The journey fr song to song felt so incredible because am seeing it anew thru your eyes. And you said every dang thing I wanted to say, listening to this Complex EP. You are so right. Felip is artistry in its finest. You can feel his passion in the way he performs. He said that music is his language. As an introvert, he tends to be shy and finds it difficult to verbalize his thoughts, but I can definitely say that he "screams" every emotion and thoughts in his songs. He is just that electrifying, you can feel every word in your bones. He loves experimenting and testing his vocal boundaries, and that shows how passionate he is in his craft. He doesn't mind if not everyone gets his music. He just expresses music the way he feels it, and I think that's why every song just vibrates with so much passion and ingenuity. That's true artistry. And I am just excited as to the breadth he can still go because if this is how he is starting, imagine how far he could go. Btw, if you want to say "mahal kita" many times over, just repeat "mahal" and add "na", or "mahal na" again and again before kita. Felip is the best communicator when he performs in his songs dance and gestures. He learns less talk less mistake. And at times he could be goofy but on setious interview he talks with so much sense and so humbling.
I learned to listen and appreciate rap and hip hop because of SB19 particularly with Pablo's LaLuna , Felip's Complex album and Josh's rap ... a new level of rap where achieving your dreams, inspiring others to rise above every situation we are in, self identity.... without adding cursing or sex or violence which we hear in most Western rap or hip hop.....Felip was brought up the right way and it shows in his music .....my bias...really😊

I really love COMPLEX as this EP explore human extremities: Rocksta - obsessed on fame as we can see like a delussional person, just keep on saying nothing but I'm a rocksta! Superiority - feeling superior to the point of saying mean things to others. Mictest - nationalistic or pride on a group you belong Drinksmoke - substance abuse Criminal - obsessed to someone Straydogs - Flexing on haters These are all different range of negative emotions/behaviour we all do have and Felip just amplified to so high. Doesn't mean he wants us to be like all of these but recognising this emotions is I think what is the whole EP all about. Just my take on this. Upon listening to it several times and watched him perform. He's not really good with words but I can tell you he is a good story teller in the way he performs his tracks.

It’s hard to choose a favorite in his Complex EP but for vibe wise, I like how DrinkSmoke is making me feel. Criminal and Straydogs is up there too. Those are my 3 mains. Although Straydogs is the 1st track on my playlist. It just gives you that energy everytime.

Finally someone is talking about his vocal range..that's what i love about ken his ability to switch from his deep voice to falcetto and apply diff vocal technique. His range is awesome and for someone with a low vocal tone. During live performance you can almost always hear his voice at the background whenever his members are singing making their harmony perfect

Thank you Melanie for the RV!! I love the dark side of FELIP and the baby side of KEN. His voice is so unique and addicting. His personality is very alluring. He has a lot of charms. I went to his COMPLEX live sessions and his really good and stunning! His artistry is on a different level! I hope he’ll also release a ballad or R&B song in the future. I wanna give you some trivia. Felip in allergic to alcohol so he is not drinking and definitely not smoking too. The Drink Smoke song is inspired by his friends or someone he knew that drink and smoke whenever they are stress just to escape the problem even for a short time. When he first showcase his EP live . He change the lyrics of drinksmoke while singing it. Before he sing the line "I drink I smoke 2x" he said instead. " no. No. That's bad. That's bad. Don't do it don't do it " and the audiences cheer him more. My admiration for him got deeper. . Again and again. Even when he is simply drinking water from his tumbler the audiences are shouting. And Ken's reaction is so innocent. He is curious why the crawd needs to get so much excited by just him drinking water. Hahaha. His reactiion though.
His favorite menu is fried chicken. He loves coffee . And he loves it when its too sweet. Felip looks so cool and confindent. He have this bad boy look but his heart is verry soft. When I see Ken's crying. I cry too. His background story is verry beautiful as well as all SB19 background story. But I can relate more to Ken's story I even love his inferpections.

Thank you so much for this RV! You made me experience this EP again, but on another level. The journey fr song to song felt so incredible because am seeing it anew thru your eyes. And you said every dang thing I wanted to say, listening to this Complex EP. You are so right. Felip is artistry in its finest. You can feel his passion in the way he performs. He said that music is his language. As an introvert, he tends to be shy and finds it difficult to verbalize his thoughts, but I can definitely say that he "screams" every emotion and thoughts in his songs. He is just that electrifying, you can feel every word in your bones. He loves experimenting and testing his vocal boundaries, and that shows how passionate he is in his craft. He doesn't mind if not everyone gets his music. He just expresses music the way he feels it, and I think that's why every song just vibrates with so much passion and ingenuity. That's true artistry. And I am just excited as to the breadth he can still go because if this is how he is starting, imagine how far he could go. Btw, if you want to say "mahal kita" many times over, just repeat "mahal" and add "na", or "mahal na" again and again before kita. Felip is the best communicator when he performs in his songs dance and gestures. He learns less talk less mistake. And at times he could be goofy but on setious interview he talks with so much sense and so humbling.
I learned to listen and appreciate rap and hip hop because of SB19 particularly with Pablo's LaLuna , Felip's Complex album and Josh's rap ... a new level of rap where achieving your dreams, inspiring others to rise above every situation we are in, self identity.... without adding cursing or sex or violence which we hear in most Western rap or hip hop.....Felip was brought up the right way and it shows in his music .....my bias...really😊

He was very shy but I think he has overcome it after his Complex EP. Now he’s more confident, carefree and smiles a lot. I think he really is the most accommodating with the fans. That’s what I observed when i watched their concert, although they all are friendly and nice. Ken is just extra nice to the fans 😍.

Criminal - obsessed to someone
Straydogs - Flexing on haters
These are all different range of negative emotions/behaviour we all do have and Felip just amplified to so high.
Doesn't mean he wants us to be like all of these but recognising this emotions is I think what is the whole EP all about.
Just my take on this. Upon listening to it several times and watched him perform. He's not really good with words but I can tell you he is a good story teller in the way he performs his tracks.

Finally someone is talking about his vocal range..that's what i love about ken his ability to switch from his deep voice to falcetto and apply diff vocal technique. His range is awesome and for someone with a low vocal tone. During live performance you can almost always hear his voice at the background whenever his members are singing making their harmony perfect

No bad song from Felip. He is truly magical and rare. It was hard for me to get a fave of his songs. From June to now, I am still stuck. He gives me happy hormones, every sec of my life since then.
