      It wouldn't be a horrible idea to get someone to CAD those plastic pieces, so that they could be recreated on a resin printer.

    I wish that you had serviced the movement. Whenever there is broken glass I think the best practice is to service the movement. That way you don't need to worry about glass dust grinding down the watch.

    I suffer from high blood pressure, watching your videos with my blood pressure monitor attached to my arm, shows, that what you do lowers my blood pressure to acceptable levels. Thanks for that.

    Ich gucke schon seit Jahre deine Filme bin immer wieder beeindruckt was man alles wieder restaurieren kann. Ich würde auch gerne so etwas können. Diese Uhr ist auch ein Stück Geschichte.     Ich beschäftige mich erst seit kurzem mit mechanischen Uhren (bin ein G Shock Kind 🤷‍♂) aber mit dem Alter ... Ich bin fasziniert von Deiner Arbeit 🤩 und den Mechanischen Uhrwerken. Auch die Tatsache, das Du diese kleinen Wunderwerke wieder zum Leben erweckst, feiere ich um so mehr. Doch selbst als Leihe, als ich die Plastikteile gesehen haben 🤨🙄 war mein erster Gedanke : OMG !?     Das die Farbe der Zeiger perfekt mit dem Ziffernblatt übereinstimmt grenzt doch an Zauberei 😅 echt wahnsinn! Ich fand auch die Technik mit dem galvanizieren sehr interessant, kannte ich noch nicht. Danke für das Video 👍

    Nice! But decision about servicing has to be made based on inspection and oil condition, not only timegrapher readings. There might be the case, when today it runs well, but tomorrow will not…

    You certainly did a fine job! I was worried about the dial feet breaking but I know You could have repaired them if they did. I've never heard of this brand before. How old is this watch? I'm sure He's very happy with it.

    if they made those plastic pieces out of bakelite... I actually have no idea if that would be any good, but formaldehyde resin seems to last forever.

    Glashütte, Ruhla Uhren. Ja die hatten schon Stil. Diese Uhr wurde meines Wissen nach 1978/79 gebaut und das nur als Kleinserie von 1500 bis 2000 Stück. Also ca 45 Jahre alt. Ich gehe davon aus, das davon nicht mehr als 30% noch existieren. Preislich muss man schon fast Vierstellig, sich darauf einstellen. Die Reparatur, war mal was anderes und die Kosten dürften sich auch in Relation zum Zeitwert, verhalten haben. LG

    I love your work. Way beyond what I am capable of, however you made some decisions that ?I ma curious about. You made no effort to restore the face (apart from the feet) or rhea front side of the hands. Was that a decision by the owner?

      Repainting the dial always looks horrible. I'm not doing this, never. The hands were fine, no need to work on them in my opinion 😉
