Awesome video, brings back great memories of Tenma. I was there in November of 2023 as a solo traveller. The energy was high and friendly, and it smelled so good everywhere I went. Every time I return I'll go back to Gyoza Club Rocklee - the mapo tofu was out of this world and I got some sort of shrimp/prawn dish that was exceptional. I'm from the US so I didn't eat certain parts of the shrimp, but the friendly staff insisted I eat everything and boy am I glad I did - the heads were the tastiest part! Ask the staff, ask the locals, and follow their advice! Can't wait to go back! Looking forward to more of your videos!

Very friendly! I can say absolute basics and I haven't been wronged once. Just smile when you open the door and put the numbers of fingers up for the amount in your party and they will say yes or no if there is space! They are humble beautiful people (well everyone Iv met so far!)

One the greatest places I have ever been to in all of Japan is Golden Gai in Shinjuku. I felt like I was in a video game. Amazing!

errrrrr let's be real. how welcoming are the folks in the izakaya to a non-Japanese speaking person? nxt april would be my 4th trip to osaka.
People in Osaka are super friendly and willing to talk to foreigners, I love em. Quite a contrast to Tokyo, generally.
