Thanks for sharing. Actually my only doubt is, we saw the Show boot output for install mode and found a .conf file in Boot variable, but we didnt see the Show boot output for bundle mode and what file resides in the boot varaible. Thank you
great question.. think of Bundle mode as monolithic.. it is one .bin file that is been used for all features.. while in install mode different modules are visible paving a way to apply Patch or SMUs.
Hi, What happens in software upgrades from install mode to instal mode if I use the command "software install file flash" instead of "request platform software package expand"?
You do not need to expand image in install mode. please refer the updated Cisco documentation as new commands looks more like XR - "install add/activate". I will post another video with new syntax.

No it is not, it is there in case a rollback is required.
