I agree with him how much longer are we going to sit back and accept this, SOMETHING needs to be done, just accepting all the time just gets more of the same!!!
Great interview Sober and real summary of where we are What bothers me intensely is that when you hear Mantashe talk and even the President there is such a disconnect in what they say. Even the president , there was not even an urgency in his tone . The interview with JJ he was talking more about how the ANC is on the path of renewal - it’s only about his party and not our country This administration has failed our people and have trampled on the honourable legacy of our previous leaders like Tambo and Mandela There is still no decisive and conclusive action even on corruption . The same people are still occupying positions in which they have looted this country We as the people of this country must know that we have the power to change things . We must do what we can to save this beautiful country for our children and the generations to come
It’s actually unbelievable 😂 eish, 15 years of load shedding. Stage 6 brand new in 2023 and everyone at Eskom gets a pay raise 😂😂😂 The county is in the worst crisis I’ve ever seen and the president could not care at all 😂😂😂 and instead of calling an emergency state to stop complete collapse we give them more money… from the tax payers! 😂😂😂 the few tax payers left. I wonder how many are going to stay. 🎉🎉🎉 viva what a wonderful success the anc is… NOT!
He has been part and parcel of this electricity fiasco. He was part if the tripartite cabal. Now that he is no longer in that cabal, he comes with criticism. I am absolutely devastated and angry that when he was benefiting he kept his mouth shut.

My view on privatisation, I don't think there is any thing wrong with it. The only problem is when government sells state companies for less than their worth. The other thing, state companies should be sold to workers in the form of workers pension funds / workers preferred shares. Alternatively, sell the state companies to new enterance in the energy market. However, what we see is that government is selling the people's asserts to dominant and monopolistic organisations in the country. And, what makes the sore even more bloody, is that the people who are going to inherit the energy generation of Eskom are Apartheid beneficiaries.
There's everything wrong with privatizing state owned entities, look how expensive flight tickets became after the sale of SAA, look how expensive data because of partial privatization of telkom.
Under Zuma people took to the streets everyday and we used to be told things would get better and they did get better.Under Ramaphosa going to the streets things will get worse.Even salaries were not paid.
From a technical perspective it is so tiring to hear strange statements like, and I paraphrase here, "we have 15000 megawatts lying around so we need someone who can come and use that to stop loadshedding" I have to ask what the hell does that even mean. How do you have power lying around ? You are either generating it or not , it does not exist outside of that , what the heck.
ASKIM pritect it's assets and salaries by increasing electricity. Businesses owners increase their products and markets their commodities but the people have no way protect their living. As the way the country goes soon it will meet the same Zimbabwe's destiny...
These unions are the ones who cause this by blaming Zuma when Ramaphosa is treated with kids gloves and being supported when he does wrong.Vavi and all unions are Ramaphosa fans and support him travelling all over the world and posting on facebook and no one akss where that money comes from.
What were they thinking that unions should be part of government? It was all about personal benefits and never about the people on the ground. Zwelinzima must apologise to the majority of South Africans on the ground.
It's hard to be a Zimbawean honestly, we are now being used by everybody to be a benchmark of failure because we are trying to bring fairness to all our citizens which takes time and going through all the ripple factors associated with major reforms...we have achieved the first hurdle, which is land ownership, the next hurdle is corruption and management incompetency...once we achieve these I hope everyone will keep quiet about Zimbawe.
Land Ownership. Do the citizens own it or ZAnu -PF. ? Zimbabweans took it away from White farmers and it was given to Zanu-PF politicians, their family and friends. Don't try to fool us.
You think destroying commercial farms and cutting trees was a solution? You bankrupted banks and whites left with debt and invested elsewhere you idiot!

Workers don't demonstrate against electricity hikes because most don't pay anyway.

Very true. Tsunami Zuma.

Get the ANC out of Government NOW and maybe we can still save SA!!
