  • This combo has lasted me 4 years with numerous passes eventually propelling me to an 11.2 1/4 mile ET.
Its time to find out just what we broke during our last outing. I cover the basic procedures to remove the tranny. If this is your first time performing the job, you should also have a copy of the FSM handy to reference.
The rest of the material is covered throughout the video. I hope you enjoy it and Happy Boosting.

Oooh! Dat camera angle at 4:11. People don't know how hard that is to do... Nice job! Lighting. All of it! So clean...
I learned things. Methods I haven't used. Nice tip with the hammer/breaker bar on the axles. ...and holy cow, HEAD'S UP!!!
Had the exact same symptoms from a totally different kind of failure. Thumbs for the video.

I think this is your best video so far. It has very good camera work and narration, good compression of the action into a short time slot, a story that starts with a mystery and ends by solving the mystery, a lot of useful information in the middle, a surprise (which made me jump the first time I saw it), and even a cameo by a cute kid. A lot of other UA-cam videos about car repair have a much higher view count, but it's certainly no fault of the filmmaking standards here. This is top-tier work. I hope your channel continues to grow, and that more people discover your material. Thanks much for sharing it.

A tow strap around the transmission - GENIUS! I'm pulling mine tomorrow and I was planning on just muscling it while hoping to not drop it on my head... A big thank you for this video!

Using a cherry picker (and a friend) is the easiest way to remove and install a DSM trans.

Awsome video man, what camera and editing software are you using? I'm having a hard time finding one that allows me to do time lapse and keep audio. Thanks

Camera is a Cannon handheld that I don’t currently have the model number for. For editing I utilize IMovie on a Mac.

6:09-6:12 it appears the bolt that holds the subframe to the "unibody frame rail thing" might not be tight, just started watching your videos, i like them, keep it up

Thanks for watching. If you are referring to the nut under the large gold washer, it is still tight. I installed poly bushings during the last build so that may be why it looks different.
