There are a variety of development environments that can be used to program the ESP8266. The ESP8266 community created an add-on for the Arduino IDE that allows you to program the ESP8266 using the Arduino IDE and its programming language.

unfortunately the video does not help me, because in the new Arduino version 2.3.0 this tab is no longer available, or if I install it in the old version, the Libyrarys do not work either ("ESP8266WiFi", "WiFiClient", "ESP8266WebServer"). no space, type esp8266 Make sure you added the link in File > Preferences

I am unable to install esp8266 and to dectect the device esp8266. The thing is , I copied and pasted the
arduino.esp8266.com/stable/package_esp8266com_index.json in "preferences" then I went to tools , then arduino/genuino Uno to boards manager in whitch a message in red color will appear underneath
saying error download download.arduino.cc/packages/package_index.json, then when I
write esp8266 nothing will appear , the window is blank ,I can't see esp8266 by esp8266 community . I know the problem is with this message in red color . I am stuck , Do you have any suggestions with many thanks?
