Cool that your traveling companions were ok with you working during your vacation. Yes, it's passion work, but not every travel group would be supportive of that. And that you not only made it work on site, but also it felt like you stuck a good work-travel balance, which itself isn't a given.
Thank you so much. I have to say, I am very fortunate to have the people I do, around me. Everyone thinks it's great that I draw for a living. It's only fair that I balance things out to make myself tolerable at times, haha.
I did NOT know that Photoshop compiles and aligns scanned pages like that! That is magic! I just scanned an old comic book that I drew back in 1983 and manually aligned all the pages because I didn't know about this trick. Thanks for sharing this! BTW, I have the Canon LIDE 220. It's probably 10 years old and still works.
I think your statement about nature is very true it’s an awesome thing to be around, I’ve visited the Appalachian parts of New England since I was born and always love it and draw pictures of it too that’s why I want to follow your lead in what you do🙂👍
I can't think of anything more awe inspiring especially when it pertains to art, than nature itself. It's easy to neglect things that aren't man made. Thank you for sharing! I bet Appalachia looks amazing in the fall with all the fall leaves.
This video was a perfect trifecta of art, outdoors and film-making! Really enjoyed this one. Looked like you all had a fun vacation in some breathtaking landscapes. All the best to you on your projects!
@SiyaOum any time! Also those canon lide scanners are surprisingly robust. I used to just wrap my clothes around and and throw it in my luggage. It survived an 8 month trip around the world lol
First time I've missed a Premier in like... FOREVER. Unfortunately, it couldn't be helped. Went with my Dad to the hospital to see my Uncle. Had a bit of a scare. Not out of the woods, but looking encouraging... Anyway. Loved the video. Gorgeous scenery beautifully shot! Looks like it was an epic trip. While no doubt challenging, It must be refreshing and exhilarating to travel, commune with nature and lay down epic art while doing so! Your art and video production continue to impress, and it's always fun to follow you along on your journey. Until next time... 👋

Thanks so much for your kind words! I'm so glad my videos helped you in some way! Many of the publishers do no take unsolicited scripts or stories, due to copyrights. The best way to break in with stories is to create a book, whether you draw it, or work with someone who will trade with you, their services, to get a book done. Nowadays, there are many ways to self publish, such as Amazon Kindle, Ingram Sparks, and Barnes and Noble. It is a very expensive subject. I will make an episode that covers this topic at some point, but there are quite a few different videos on youtube that talks about self publishing. I hope this you some what!
Great video. Fascinating look at your process. I'm curious, though: What was the nature of the trip, that was both necessary enough that it couldn't wait until the pages were done, and had you doing them in a hotel room awat from home?
Thanks so much for your comment! Comic book deadlines are sometimes unpredictable, and may get shuffled around. I've had to work a lot while attending comic book conventions simultaneously. For years everything revolved around deadlines, and the trade off was spending time with my family. This trip was pre-planned with parents. I've just adjusted to working on the road after over ten years of working away from my desk. :)
