The Begleitpanzer 57 in War Thunder is a German Light Tank that has EVERYTHING. Not only can this vehicle take on practically any tank in the game, it even has proximity fuse shells for dealing with both Planes and Helicopters.
German Tanks in War Thunder are some of the best in the game and the Begleitpanzer 57 is just the apex of Light Tanks in War Thunder. It houses a 57mm autocannon that is now full stabilised. To compliment that the Begleitpanzer has a thermal scope for the gunner. With over 130mm of penetration you can deal with pretty much anything that's thrown at you but if you can't... you also have 6 TOW Missiles that auto-load!
The Begleitpanzer Proximity Fuse Shells make this the best SPAA at this Battle Rating. Not only can you smack jets out of the sky it also means that helicopters are at your complete mercy. It really puts the Gepard to shame.
This thing is basically a multi-tool for dealing with any threat that's thrown at you! One of the best tanks in War Thunder, easily!

Can't say I don't love ya wee man. Literally any other throws RAID at me and instant unsub. That said can't fault you for make'n a buck brother. Least I know it's going a good guy, but damn that shit is THE definition of mobile trash.

Got a question Odd have you ever had a nuke and accidentally spawned something else I just did that in my 7.0 Russian line and when I realized it was too late.

It's happened to me twice 😭 what happened both times is I was playing USA 6.3 and when the match began it was 6.3 but I guess it moved to 6.7 once everyone got in the match so I didn't know the nuke was possible until I spawned my f4. I was pissed
I just got one and didn’t realize I had it.

The Begleitpanzer just embodies the current meta of required weaponry: stabilized autocannon to destroy other light vehicles and for side shots, missiles for heavy armor and proximity fuze HE for aircraft with laser rangefinder to easily dunk on helicopters.
its biggest weakness is that it must be s5ill to shoot its atgm

What made the difference for me was not really the stab, but the greatly improved turret rotation speed. I remeber that following an aircraft coming low was a pain in the ass, not its so much better.

Don't get me wrong, the stabilizer is awesome, but man do I miss the APHE shells 😭
I only got to use them once, had the tank and used the normal ap shells for forever, and like a week before the change i tried the aphe shell and it was amazing

I mean, I've been playing for about 1000 hours and I still don't know all the weak spots, on top of that I love jumping around from low-teir-fun-teir to "press f and hit every shot" br, so it's difficult to memorize such a wide range of vehicles and the APHEs forgivingness countered my lack of tank anatomy.

Makes sense its good for AA, the 57mm was designed as a replacement for an older 57mm naval AA gun, that in itself was the heavier companion to the Bofors 40mm AA gun.
Odd read this challenge! Ok play USA 11.0 but bring a low teir tank AND ITS NOT WHAT YOU THINK ! considering how hard this is going to be I'll let you bring the jumbo or the bulldog. That's completely up to you sir! First part of this challenge(make sure you have a helicopter in you line up) should be fairly easy. Kill two tanks only using acpr. But before your do that your need to take out 5 tracks on 5 tanks. Also you must cap the "A"cap twice. Then J out and get into the atgm vehicle of your choice! With that vehicle you must kill three tanks but you can only fire your atgm straight into the sky and only when it runs out of fuel you must bring it down to get the kill. Then you must take a selfie with you and a scarecrow ( hopefully you get Japan or Normandy) after that you must get into your helicopter and kill two commanders of any tank you see fit. (BUT YOU CAN ONLY KILL THEM WITH YOUR ROTOR BLADES..... BLINDFOLDED!) then you must get up and use the bathroom (BLINDFOLDED) and don't wash your hands. From this point you need to get the nuke... But NOOOO you aren't going to drop it no no no 😂 your going to fly upsidedown to the enemy base and some how convinse them not to kill you. Land at the enemies base and take another selfie. Still with me?! There's more 😂 on the way back with your nuke if you've made it this far you must j out. (blindfolded). Hopefully you have enough spawn points for a plane bc that's next. Your will need to drop 3 bombs that hit and kill 3 targets at the exact same time.(need replay proof) then in any manner you seem fit you must get the nuke AGAIN! IF you get to this point while on the way to drop the nuke you must disconnect your internet. Then wait for it to sign back in and click rejoin battle. If your still alive you can drop the nuke only after you spam "attack the D point" 49 times. complete this and we will move to round 2. Good luck.

I would like to request you do a Upload with Phly, Benny, Iron or Jean Claude...... One or two of them or all of them. It doesn't matter what you play or what nation. The chemistry you have together with your chums just cocking about is the best and I love watching that most of all.
Top gear style show where its a random BR choosen, and they each bring a tank of their choosing, than they each explain why the others are stupid for their choice and they have clearly brought the best tank for the job. Maybe make it stupid challenges, like first to get to the enemies spawn on a map without dying, or First to get into a CAS and than get 5 kills with the plane.

15:00 that game was rough, at first I did well with my AMX 30 B2, (it a fun tank but the lack of stab really doesnt help against a begleit specially since the tank is really wiggly at times), i didnt aim for the breach but i had to be quick as all your team was shooting us but after I died we just got spawn killed over and over, thats how it is sometimes. Was fun to see that game from your angle though lol

Proxy shells on non-SPAA have to be some of my favorite vehicles. Just been playing the VCC 80/60 in the Italian tech tree, and I get constant hackusations, and people in disbelief that I shot their aircraft down. But really its just I have to hit somewhere in the general area, and it nukes them
On one of the desert maps you can spawn camp the enemy heli base using the bagel panzer. Not sure if they changed the map since then. Super fun. 4km out spam like 5 shots and insta kill. Killed 3 Helios that way, pretty sure they have zero spawn protection unlike tanks.

I enjoy the Begleitpanzer alot, that stabilized 57mm alone is great, especially with SAP tanks targets die so quickly and it's one of the best SPAA at the same time.
You actually use the SAP? Never heard anyone use it, ersonally I've just skipped it due to its abysmal pen. Why do you like it and how would you say it is useful compared to the regular ammo outside of shooting IFVs?
@@INSANESUICIDE you can actually pen some tanks from the side, you just need to aim a. It. Ore carefully but the post pen is incredibly good, so usually one pen is either a kill or a disabled target

Used to have a rough time on my Chinese 8.0 lineup as I was getting Begleited left and right and to be honest I was a bit jealous of that vehicle.... Then came WZ305.
Same gun caliber, slower fire rate but somewhat compensated by having a second gun and similar shell selection (by type, if I recall correctly pre-buff begleit's shells had better if not the same stats), serves quite well for flanking and engaging enemies with tunnel vision.
I wonder if he has done a video about WZ.
The WZ305 is just the ZSU-57-2 from the Russian tree, maybe he has a video on that

If I'm not wrong, WZ305 is a reverse engineered Sparka with a stronger hull (not by much) and slower turret traverse. And let's not forget about the DKY-1 HE-VT round, I like to call it the fly swatter.

The HSTVL IRL did in fact have a proxy shell, it also had a better apfsds shell with a stupid amount of pen, much more than the one it currently uses in game
I have a problem with the Begleitpanzer 57. For some reason I can only take 10 HE-VT shells. Does anyone know how to fix it or have the same problem?
Maybe take less of the AP rounds, it could be that your ammo rack is full.
Technically this 57mm is the MKIII57.
Swedish Bofors navelgun.
The same vehicle with the same navelgun modell is the Swedish CV90IFV but the canon is 40mm.
CV90IFV is today 2023 the peak of IFV for now.
Its really interesting what a pure top model of 2023 in computer,radar can do with a 57mm in next generation of Begleitpanzer.
I've always loved the Bagleit, brought it into 11.0 and was still more effective than my entire team's SPAAGs as well as tank killing capabilities. Sad that they removed the old shell though

Next time you get a nuke but don't have enough time, try J'ing out or doing a loop an crashing and have you team go "WTF happened to our nuke guy?!" [or get a full nuke with time and fly the opposite direction so the alarm just blares for everyone for 10 minutes]

Its been nerfed since then. And cant even knock out barrels because its not using APFSDS, using APCR which bounces harmlessly off barrels now instead of actually penning them.

It has the speed of a Puma, better hull-down survivability than a Marder, the cannon of a PT-76-57, better anti-air effectiveness than most actual anti-air vehicles, and TOWs and thermal sights added on for good measure. I hate fighting these things so much, and I get a warm feeling every time one of them explodes.
