Looks like an absolute Steal and an awesome Purchase. Dr Gower will soon sort it for a Bucket of KFC chicken is his favourite ;-) 🤣 Hope you have many happy miles in her Hamza 🙏
Former 2012 GTI owner checking in. When I got rid of my little nightmare last summer this is what had to be replaced after 130K miles of use. Three sets of tires, 4 batteries, 5 intake manifolds, 4 sets of fuel injectors, 3 water pumps, high pressure fuel pump, 4 sets of rear sway bar links, A/C compressor, engine cooling fan, 6 PCVs. I was soooo glad when I got rid of that damn thing. Yes, it did drive brilliant but only when it was working right. In the U.S. VW dealers and service departments have a reputation of being total pricks - and they were. This is why I did all of my own work, otherwise it would have bankrupted me. One and done with VW.....
It’s really too bad, many people drink the GTi koolaide until they are actual owners for at least a decade. I had an 07 since brand new and sold at 135 k miles in 2019
Thimira Jayathilake I’ll try to get one at the weekend. Thought it was the PCV that was a duffer but changed it and hasn’t went away. There’s a squeal from the car when you accelerate moderately hard, and usually only between 1800-3000rpm. Will try to get a video over the weekend. Has me stumped, as has why the fans for the HVAC system decide after 45 mins of driving to stop blowing out the vents. You can hear it blowing into nothing behind the chase. Tried the flap reset option using the HVAC controls but still doing it.
James Love as for the squeal, it could be your timing belt. What year is your car? I don’t understand how these HVAC motors are actuated either, but know that there’s 2. One is for the temperature control and one is for recirculation. But they make different noises.
Loving the videos! Onto my second mkv Gti, 2005, 52k miles, dsg, 3door, xenon, 6disc, midline and added my old rns510 and a new milltek. Thought my dsg was playing up from a leaking bonnet release cable gromit into the footwell. Found out recently it’s the sunroof! 😱 Vaseline as a temp fix, worried about how much it’ll cost me. At least the dsg gear selector is fine tho. Good luck with your new toy :)
Glad to see you back and well mate. Love the vw content of your videos, I've got a hybrid turbo mk4 golf gti myself. It's a ongoing project after 16 year ownership.
Hey, sadly i did not yet had the time to fully watch the 5 GTi series. Back to the point, try the APR tune, I think you will love it. I have a MK5 with APR tune myself and it is awesome. (I have a BWA stock k03 , APR downpipe, same intake you are running here on the ed30, magnaflow exhaust and the APR Stage 1 tune)
Nice they are man. Watched the dead GTi over and over. Just got a Mk5 manual GTi myself. Going from a Vw up it is insane. I love itm pack 2 I believe with heated leather seats and dual climate control. Can't wait to see the eddy 30 man.
A new GTi project. This is a good day. I really need to sort out my old dog of a gti. I think about my rattle canned panels once a week lol. Cant do much about it whilst I'm working abroad though.
If u not sure get it plugged in and check issue , but sounds like hVac or tappets which is normal and once car warms up abit the noise will go down . It sounds like a diesel car upon start up
So happy you got another GTi. This time a even better canvas to start with. The paint looks good. Those plate bulbs are clean in white led. Do you know the brand?
Lmfao I'm not the only one who rolls the windows down or keeps door open. Had gone to a friend's house and locked my keys in my car. Used a coat hanger to get door unlocked. Cops showed up guns drawn. My friend lived under a car dealership 🤣😂🤣
How's your leg man, sorry I gave you a hard time about the accident, I did try to apologise at the time but you blanked me, anyway all the best, stay safe !!
sounds the exact same noise I had on an Octavia VRS, would hear it after the oil had warmed up & thinned out a bit. It could be the EVAP purge valve as pointed out, but could be the cam chain is loose (it has a belt for drive and chain that links the 2 camshafts) that can cause it to miss at certain revs and hunt at idle. It Not terminal at all.
@@TRHamza Ah i see, so would that need doing alongside belt and water pump all together? I'm looking into getting an ED30/TFSI engine in the near future
First there was .💀Dead GTI .Now ☠️Dead GTI Part 2 .The Revenge . Loved this vlog dude . Can’t wait to see how mad you can make this ED30 .Crazy times on this planet but I will be tuning in to every vlog as always 👍 Glad to see your all good dude . Stay safe .
At least you have a car. I was taking my time getting a new one then the covid-19 lockdown happened and I’m now stuck without wheels and the only way to get one it seems is by video and hope for the best. Stuck with the wife’s focus right now. Can’t you update the satnav?
Awesome video. It would be cool if you setup with tripod and tried to do tutorial videos on the mods and repairs this go around now that you have that experience. I know I would take a lot from videos like that.
Hope everyone is all good. Bit of a impulse purchase this one, nothing too different but we’ll get straight to the exciting bits 👌🏼
Buy a mk5 R32 now and turbo that🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Looks like an absolute Steal and an awesome Purchase. Dr Gower will soon sort it for a Bucket of KFC chicken is his favourite ;-) 🤣
Hope you have many happy miles in her Hamza 🙏
good looking example nicely specced
Don't take the mark of the beast the true God of the bible warned us about! Its coming! Carona lie
Greetings from Pakistan! I'm glad to see you. I hope that you have fully recovered from that car accident. I hope you to stay safe and healthy.
Change your name to “GTI Hamza
Or TCR hamza
Had To Laugh How Fast Your Reaction Was Taking The Key Out When You First Turned It On With That Dodgey Noise😂Great Vid Mate
Re circulation flap motor for the HVAC is the sound, engine sounds good!
Thanks for the heads up! I’m going to look into that 👍🏼
Had exactly the same thing on mine
You can reset the hvac flaps easy to do engine sounds ok
Yeah had same on mine on my birthday of all days couple years back not a expensive fix at all
Nice to see a new vid man, hope you’re fully recovered now!
Nearly there!

The sound you heard is the HVAC recirculation flap motor. It's a really simple fix, and does not impact drivability at all
That’s a relief thank you!
I wish I could diagnose the issues with mine so quickly!
James Love post a video and we’ll help you out! Lol

Yes! I am soooooo happy to see those Pescaras on the Gti 😂👍🏻 transforms the look of the car and it’s just OEM goodness 👌🏻

I'd blank the PCV valve off straight away. Higher oil consumption but less issues :-)
Welcome back! Keep up the videos
I just saw VW and Nightmare and thought what a legit video to watch :)

Welcome back Hamza. Nice car man.!!
Glad to you see you back bro
I've missed your content lad .
Looks a nice car, those ED30 are fast with a tune, had one stuck to my bumper in my R, couldn't shake it

What happened to his Subaru ?

Ayyo gangster new GTI everyday yaraa
Edition 30 looks peng 👌
R tech best in the business! Lovely car 👀
Out of all of the Volkswagens, all of the Golfs, all of the Mk5s, all of the GTIs and all of the Edition 30s you chose to get a 5 door?
Good to see you back man!
Quick question, i thought TFSI’s were belt driven not chain driven?
they are
@@mikehawes4935 So what's the chain he referred to?
They are belt driven yes, but have a chain too. Belt is on the left and chain is on the right side.

I love my mrk 5 gti. Great car, fast and reliable. Only thing that sucks is my interior is sagging bad. Other than that it's going strong

Awesome video. It would be cool if you setup with tripod and tried to do tutorial videos on the mods and repairs this go around now that you have that experience. I know I would take a lot from videos like that.
Bro consider getting some astroturf in your garden cuz that grass looks ugly with all those tyre marks 😂
Let me know when you want to sell it lol
Need the running gear for my Caddy lol
I think the issue with these TSIs is low oil pressure. This could also explain the issues with the timing chain tensioner
